Back in 2004 she released everytime with the lyrics "everytime i try to fly i fall without my wings" however in this song she proclaimers "spread my wings out into the dark". i think in a way this is about her moving on and learning to love and trust again walking out into the unknown a potential hurt but knowing that he will catch her if she falls and that his love will allow her to fly away from her pain and insecurities.
