You gonna die
But you are going to die
And it could be in a month
It could be tomorrow
It could be in a year
It could be in 20 years
But the thing is you’re gonna die
And when the doctor or the person or event comes
The reaper comes and he said to you
Today is your time
How are you going to handle that

Only gonna be here for a short while
So I’m living every day like it’s worthwhile
Living everyday like I’m on trial
When the day comes they go compile
Everything everything everything you
Done in your whole life compile
Everything everything everything you
Done in your whole life

We used to keep photo albums and pictures on our walls
Now it’s Facebook and IG post when we bored
Memories fades but the melodies stays
Cause when you gone they never go back to that internet page
New ways of making money but I keep old values
If you love me keep a picture of me close by you
And your wallet close to the money
Or your mind like you owe me
Show me that I’m precious so no can do
Don’t put no virtue candles you can’t blow out too
No black display pictures keep your RIPs
When am gone a couple years
Play back throwback tunes
And let it put you in codak modes
Take you back to when you used to kick it
Take it back to when you listened to it
How you felt the first time you got the message to it
I put my thesis to it
That’s a premise I’m waiting for you to prove me wrong
I dress my message up in uniforms
Its on duty but y’all caught up with the booty songs
You hear me rapping and start looking out for unicorns
I know I’m unique and I use it with my new vision
Take me how my music comes before my music stop
Uhhn sometimes I have it suited up
Sometimes we on the streets patrolling city cops
Sometimes we so deep it sound frivolous
I want to smell my flowers before I give it up

Only gonna be here for a short while
So I’m living every day like it’s worthwhile
Living everyday like I’m on trial
So when the day comes they go compile
Everything everything everything you
Done in your whole life compile
Everything everything everything you
Done in your whole life

And no one knows the moment they die until surprise is ich
So be cautious when you on Twitter you are rising on tweet
Cause there’s gon be fire when the read replies and retweets
Never thinking about the size of your reach
And the social appliance to your speech
Humans are vulnerable we lie and we weep
To hurt somebody cost you nothing but to lie that is peak
We hide and we lie we strong but deep inside we weep
And DJ XG was my guy when we was peep
If suicide survivors could speaks
What they say I used to cry in my sleep
I used to pray that you say something more than how we greet
As we run these journey of life there people stranded on the side of the streets
Finding their feet and when they gone
We like why didn’t they speak
Starting to ponder though the rhymes getting blink
Like when I’m gone even those who curse me will be kind in their tweets
Even artiste who hate me will lying through their teeth trying to be sweet
How does that help me when I’m lying 6-feet
So if you fuck with me nothing you produce
Say it loud speak your truth
Don’t be on the fence when it comes to me
Nigga pick and choose
Many people slander you just so they can get in the news
Cool with me I drop the same energy when I RIP
For I see nigga who fuck with you just for your IP
Seen the love change from what it was to the
I just try to regulate fake niggas like I’m Warren G
And when I’m gone my real smoke for me like Rasta fa RT

Only gonna be here for a short while
So I’m living every day like it’s worthwhile
Living everyday like I’m on trial
So when the day comes they go compile
Everything everything everything you
Done in your whole life compile
Everything everything everything you
Done in your whole life

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Bron-Y-Aur Stomp
Led Zeppelin
This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.

Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

When We Were Young
Blink-182
This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.
