There's a pressure in my chest, I'll do my best,
Take the remedy and then we'll see if I can get some rest
This love is chess
And you're coming right for my king's head
Take your time, they say, calculate your moves
accept the change after you pay your dues
Well I've never been a fan of precision
I've never been a fan of decisions!

Pull the lever bring the target up!
A staring contest with the barrel of a gun
Love like gun powder!
There was a spark and it all got louder
Unload, reload and let the games begin
The man in black will tell us this is all a sin
But I'll do it again
Start the staring contest and we'll see who wins!

Mouth loaded, and your tongue sprung like a trap!
You burned the bridge now I have no way back
I HAVE NO WAY BACK
FUCK IT, opposites attract
You've always had a way with equations
I have no patience I'm just a patient
Take your time, they say, calculate your moves
accept the change after you pay your dues
Well I've never been a fan of precision
I've never been a fan of decisions!

I have no patience I'm just a patient
This is a hospital vacation

In a room with white walls like the white house
I'm just trying to find my way I need a lighthouse
Put a price on the mind and call it price gouge
Praying for the sun to go down to do my night rounds
I cover my eyes with my hands but I see through
Your right in front of me but I can't even reach you
Mouth hangin' wide hopin my thoughts leak through
I have been overloaded I think I need a reboot
I tried to refresh, but my life is a twin
Still the same shit from that which I've been runnin
Somebody open up the blinds and let the sun in
I'll crawl ot that window world I'm about to come in!

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
