Barrel of Batteries Lyrics
If I stay then I'd need for a reason
But you're a ghost, you're a ghost in the rain
And I'm a barrel, I'm a barrel of batteries
I'm a barrel, I'm a barrel of batteries
Put ice on the floor
She wants to hear more
But I'm losing my soul
You little whore
Laughter strikes, laughter strikes in the morning
Laughter burns, laughter burns all day
'Cause if you knew what the river holds
And you won't go where the river flows
Then I will stay, I will stay, had it coming
Put ice on the floor
She wants to learn more
I'm sleeping alone, you little whore
I'm sleeping alone, you little whore
But you're a ghost, you're a ghost in the rain
And I'm a barrel, I'm a barrel of batteries
I'm a barrel, I'm a barrel of batteries
She wants to hear more
But I'm losing my soul
You little whore
Laughter burns, laughter burns all day
'Cause if you knew what the river holds
And you won't go where the river flows
Then I will stay, I will stay, had it coming
She wants to learn more
I'm sleeping alone, you little whore
I'm sleeping alone, you little whore

These lyrics look mostly correct, with the exception of 'I'm sleeping alone, you little whore'. I just can't hear it in the song, to me it sounds like he's saying 'I'm sleeping all along in a new world war'. However, that doesn't really make sense in the context of the song so I don't know.
I meant to type 'alone' instead of 'along'
I meant to type 'alone' instead of 'along'
Mostly correct, but I think this is closer:
If I stay then I'd need for a reason Children(?) ghosts, coming close in the rain I'm a barrel, I'm a barrel of batteries I'm a barrel, I'm a barrel of batteries
With ice on the floor She wants to hear more 'bout losing my soul in the new world war
Laughter strikes, Laughter strikes in the morning Laughter burns, Laughter burns all day Cuz if you knew what the river holds And you won't go where the river flows And I will say, I will say I had it coming
With ice on the floor She wants to learn more 'bout sleeping alone in the new world war 'bout sleeping alone in the new world war
I'm hearing "But you're a ghost, you're a ghost in the rain." for the second line.
He might be saying "with eyes on the floor." That makes more sense to me.
And like you guys, I have no idea what the last couple of lines are.
