Loxtep Lyrics

Do you wonder if time will find us
Sharing pace like once we would
I think I should, I know I might
But your line around my neck
Keeps pulling, pulling

I am nothing if I'm lying
You go first, and I might
I bet I could, I mean to try
But your line around my neck
Keeps pulling, pulling
Pulling, pulling

How've you been girl
Has life been kind?
Did you get free?
Do you wanna come back?
Well I've been fine, girl
For once you're not on my mind
Get what I need
I sleep in the grass

Put your line around my neck,
Keep pulling
Put your line around my neck,
Keep pulling, pulling
How've you been, girl?
Has life been kind?
Did you get free?
Do you wanna come back again?
Yeah, I've been fine, girl
For once you're not on my mind
Get what I need,
I sleep in the grass

I think it should be "I think it should, I know it might,"

I pressed add comment by accident. You missed a line too..

"I am nothing if not procratic, you go first and I might(maybe, makes sense, being procratic also sounds like "I am lying"). but I could, I mean to try, but your line around my neck keeps pullin', pullin'"

He sings "Well I've been fine, girl" not "I think that, girl" And he might be saying "I sleep in the grass"

He also says "Put your line AROUND my neck"

Admirable attempts at the lyrics, though when I last saw them perform, Anna told me that nobody in the band truly knows the words to this song other than Adam.

Good catch with the way it changes the third time to "put your line around my neck, keep pulling!"

Just a suggestion, but some of these lyrics seem pretty distinctly different to me. "Sharing days like once we would" first of all, i think you will agree if you listen. "I think it should, I know it might," because he is referring to whether or not time will find them.

Though I don't know what he does say after "I am nothing," it certainly isn't "I'm lying" because there is a hard 'C' or 'K' sound where there would have to be an 'L' sound. Proceeding that directly, I have a feeling he is saying "You go first, and I align."

But in any case, this is just such good music. Thanks for listening to Annuals! :)

I have no opinion about the meaning of this song, nor do I really want to find out what it means. I just love it. This is a song that feels like it means more than it's creators realized; I've listened to Annuals other stuff, and while it's not bad, nothing I've heard equals Loxtep. It's been one of my favorite songs since I first heard it over a year ago, and I'm just grateful that stuff like this can exist.
