This song is so powerful. Whenever I listen to it, it gives me goosebumps. To be honest, not all songs have to have meanings. It's what they mean to you that matters.

I think this song is about someone using someone else for sex. They are misleading the person and making them think they love them when they don't. However, the person has a feeling they are being used but doesn't care. They just want to forget everything, live in the passion and feel loved/desired in that moment. They want to forget all the problems they are suffering from.

I don't think it has to be necessarily about a relationship. Actually, I imagine a situation in which two people are having a fling, like a one night stand. The one tries to help the other by convincing him the best thing to do is to put the worries behind and simply enjoy life. The lights symbolize the victory over worries, depression, trouble etc.- they are now forgotten.
For me this song is about waking up to the truth of whats really going on in the world!

i think the song mean coming to truth it is a song which will incourage you when it says my eyes are open it mean that you know the truth what is wrong and right who is your enemy or friend and illumination means coming to reality illuminated means that we are all shinning with brightness of our soul with happinesss
