I don't think it has to be necessarily about a relationship. Actually, I imagine a situation in which two people are having a fling, like a one night stand. The one tries to help the other by convincing him the best thing to do is to put the worries behind and simply enjoy life. The lights symbolize the victory over worries, depression, trouble etc.- they are now forgotten.
