Letter Experiment Lyrics

Flashing eyes of heat, vessel through the deep
By the son of night, unclean

Charon

Fear becomes the belief for those cannot pay the fee
A coin to board the fleet
Or one hundred years of disease

Row

But the line it never fades
The story is bound to unfold in the end

Love of mine, gone forever
Say goodbye to the sky
Bound by time, enter the ride
Absently
I will be

Motivate fortune
Can't escape from the arms of death

Along the shore many faces accumulate
In preparation for the underworld
Single file, ghost by ghost
The deck fills up to embark on the final sail

Alone we rise and fall
Awaiting the day, a life coalesced
Deep in the silence our fate entwine
Create and consciously free the mind
So far from where I lost my soul
Depart, implore, divine

In our minds, adventure is always listening
Just stay here
The world isn't always listening
Disappear

Suffer in endless doubt
Holding on to the memories as they fade away
These thoughts and sorrows will not remain

One day we'll meet again
In time, beyond the end

I'm 99.9% sure this is about Dante's Inferno lol. Dante had made a promise to stay faithful to Beatrice while off in war and ended up breaking that promise. Dante didn't know that Beatrice had sold her soul to Dante's will. When Dante returned from war, he found her recently murdered body. Hades had taken her for his wife. Dante worked his way into hell across the river Styx and to the "vessel through the deep" who is Charon, he large ship which takes damned souls away to their destination.

Pretty sure this song is a song written from Dante's POV.

This is one of my favorite songs. The opening verse sounds really dark with the use of electronics on the clean vocals.

As for the meaning, it's rooted in Greek mythos. Charon was the oarsman for the boat that traversed the river Styx and in order to board one had to pay a coin. "fear becoming belief" refers to those who finally realize they have to pay to pass and can't, so the hundred year disease refers to the idea that those who couldn't pay were said to walk the shores of the river for 100 years.

I think it's about a boat ride through hell specifically. One of my favorites, it has so many epic parts and really catchy fast ones.

was "One day we'll meet again/In time, beyond the end" on an original recording? cos all I hear is the "Row, Row, incomprehensible lyrics Row, As we row!"

I think it may be about not knowing what happens after you die. He speaks of a few different derivatives, like going to the sky, charon (the gondola man to the underworld).

It also has a really medievel aura to it. In Greek mythology and around those times, you had to put coins on someone who passes away to pay Charon, to get into the underworld. If this did not happen, they would be forbidden entrance into the underworld, I'm not sure where the 100 years of disease comes from.

Or it may just be about dying, simply. This paragraph details people boarding the ship to the underworld, which again, Charon is the captain of, and you must pay him for the ride.

Bad lyrics are bad...But I think I had to give a shot at this. Bad title, too.
