From what I can gather, the song is a direct reference to the book Year of the Black Rainbow.

• Coheed and Cambria are wandering through a mine, of sorts, trying to remain undiscovered.

Nothing matters anymore

• Their objective is to find out what the miners are doing to the Keywork. Besides that, nothing else matters.

Bodies breaking, drives me crazy

• When discovered, they get attacked by these miners. Coheed starts obliterating them with his bionic arm. The more he kills, the more enraged he becomes.

This is not your place, no this is not your playground, it's my heart

• The miners are tampering with the Keywork, playing with it. Trying to manipulate it in their favour. The Keyowrk is "not their place" but instead, is everybody else's heart

We were stupid, we got caught

• They were discovered

Nothing matters anymore, so what

• They were found out, but they no longer care as they have found the source of the problem

Here we are, Juggernaut

• The Keywork is the Juggernaut. The almighty force. Coheed is simply greeting it.

Hey ive been a huge fan of coheed and cambria for a long time and i just finished reading the year of the black rainbow novel, so im gonna take a crack at solving the riddle of this song lol.

first, the novel and the book do not match up chronologically. the album was arranged, i can only assume, in a way that it musically pleasing for the listener. the story isnt as chronological as the book, so read the book if you wanna learn the story straight from the claudios mouth!

(Leonard and Pearl Hohenberger lost their son joseph in the crossfire of a battle between Wihelm Ryan and Covent Marths armies. Grieving for their son, they became bitter and distance, and pearl blamed leonard for their son's death. so Leonard decided somthing needed to be done, and much like the story of christ when an angel came to mary, a member of the prize called Paranioa came to leonard with a spark of inspiration. i will not discuss this in detail because you should read the book yourself.)

(This line is Leonard Hohenberger thinking to himself, reminding himself to keep the secrets of the KBI project in the dark from Ryans forces. Nothing matters to him at all, not even life itself because he must avenge his sons death, to reconcile with his wife for letting him go. Bodies breaking could mean that his physical body is breaking under the stress, or memories of people dying in battle, or memories of his son and his sons friends being cut down in the fight. either way people are suffering. This is not your place to me is hohenberger exclaiming to ryan in his own mind that this is not your place to rule. It is not his place to turn his family and loved ones against him, its not his playground it is leonards life, and his emotions and everyone including his wife has been toying with them.)

(Plain and simple, ryan caught leonard and sent mayo deftinwolf to collect coheed and cambria. they are weapons used against ryan and they must be brought to ryan's control. Juggernaut im pretty sure is a nickname for mayo deftinwolf because, well the description of him in the book is very juggernaut-y. in other words "Here we are juggernaut, you caught us. game over"

Courage broken, lashed to scars Can this love be what I want? Body's breaking, driving me crazy, it's your fault.

(Mayo captured Pearl and placed her in a glass coffin to suffer insanity until leonard delivered what ryan wanted. Leonard is devestated at this news and decides to give in to what ryan wants, even though his demands are unspeakably horrible (youl discover this in your reading of the book). can he be willing to do these horrible things to bring back the love of his life? is that what he really wants? "bodies breaking driving me crazy, its your fault" is clearly Pearl thinking to herself as her physical body and her mental fortitude are deteriorating in her glass coffin. At first she is strong willed againts ryan for the death of her son. but as ryan twists and winds his way into he mind, she loses the will and blames her husband for her misfortune saying "its all your fault leonard, you should be here instead of me."

(Leonard, Coheed, Cambria, and Inferno all have a "heart to heart" about what must be done to save Pearl. They come to the ultimate conclusion that blood will be spilled. The hangman is Wilhelm Ryan.

Become stronger juggernaut.

(now this line confused me. If mayo is the juggernaut then it doesnt make sense for Leonard to will him to be stronger. In the book, the solution to the problem is that Leonard takes out coheed and cambrias hearts and replaces their blood with a powerful virus. This line may be describing making coheed stronger by introducing this virus. If anyone has thoughts on this please let me know :)

(Did they go too far by building the KBI in defiance of ryan, but the love leonard has for his wife is too powerful and his guilt for letting his son go, and the blame from his wife chews at his heart daily.)

I think this song might be about the comic books that were released for this album. It would be hard to explain what I mean without explaining everything:

"We were stupid, we got caught" Well, in the series, the two main characters had to kill their children, as they were infected with a virus that could kill off the entire colony. Then later, they find that they didn't have to kill them, and Coheed just kinda goes insane. "No, this is not your playground, it's my heart/ Answer me (did we take this too far?) You've given all I could need (did we take this too far?) Oh, but your kiss won't leave me be (did we take this too far?) Cause your teeth just won't stop chewing out my heart.

Also about killing them, when they realized, they realized it wasn't worth it. He accuses the men holding his real brother, who was first infected, of playing with his feelings.

I think the juggernaut in all this was, maybe, Coheed after being infected with the Monstar virus, or maybe his brother, Inferno.

That's my thought on this song.

natehaven has it pretty much spot on and zerokenetic has a really cool idea. However, I think it feels that way because of the reason this song was written from a personal stand point on claudio's part. Remember although all the songs are related to the book and the story he also wrote them for emotional carthasis for something he was feeling. He wrote this particular song after he was freaking out because chondra was away at a wedding on a remote island where she didn't get cell service and he hated not talking to her and was feeling a little insecure so they were fighting but when she got back he realized none of that mattered and they were unstoppable together. (Yea it sounds a little emo and controlling but if you know any of their past then...well yea not so much lol).

The line "Here we are, juggernaut" is taken directly from the novel, in the first chapter.(Chronologically, it takes place around the middle of the story).

"Co," She whispered, and she was pointing off to the right. 'I'm pretty sure we go that way."

He looked where she was indicating and his jaw fell. "Oh my God," he whispered. "What is that?"

"I have no idea, aside from 'gigantic'."

The context being that Co and Ca are infiltrating a secret base controlled by Wilhelm Ryan, and they stumble upon a giant machine harnessing energy from the keywork.

However, its also used in the beginning of the book, in the dedications.:

"My wife, Chondra, whose love and help cannot be measured. My music and concepts are riddled with you. Here We Are Juggernaut."

So I think Juggernaut is kind of like a pet name used from a husband to a wife. Given that, I think each verse is supposed to be from a different part of the story, from the perspective of either Coheed or Dr. Hohenberger.

So here is my take on these lyrics. I haven read the story around the album but to me this is clearly about a love affair, probably someone cheating (or taboo for some other reason) and are having severe ambivalence about what to do. The Juggernaut is a metaphor for the force of their passion, unstoppable and destructive.

I think it might be "Bodies Breaking" not sure though.
