Had Enough Lyrics
Loneliness pacing up and down these hallways
Second guessing every thought
Mystified, just spinning 'round in circles
Drowning in the silent screaming with nothing left to say
Everytime I reach for you, there's no one there to hold on to
Nothing left for me to miss, I'm letting go, letting go of this
Lost my mind thinking it through, the light inside has left me too
Now I know what empty is, I've had enough, I've had enough of this.
I believe that love should be a reason
To give and get back in return (to give and get back in return)
I wanna breathe in a new beginning
With someone who will wrap her arms around what's left of me
Everytime I reach for you, there's no one there to hold onto
Nothing left for me to miss, I'm letting go, letting go of this
Lost my mind thinking it through, the light inside has left me too
Now I know what empty is, I've had enough, I've had enough of this.
I'm tired of barely holding on
There's something that's already gone
Inside of me a world is in this all alone
Everytime I reach for you, there's no one there to hold on to
Nothing left for me to miss, I'm letting go of this
Lost my mind thinking it through, the light inside has left me too
Now I know what empty is, I've had enough, I've had enough of this.

I guess I interpreted this song as the girl being physically there in the relationship, but not mentally/emotionally there. Maybe she's depressed. Maybe she's grown distant from the guy but doesn't know how to articulate it or doesn't want to say so. Maybe some experience has scarred her. Whatever the case, he reaches for her and she pulls away, so it's a lot like living with a ghost even though she's still a flesh-and-blood person that is part of his daily life. He's been suffering in silence, trying to make it work, but she already checked out of the relationship in her mind a long time ago, so this song is the guy finally speaking up and giving her the ultimatum - either put some effort into this relationship, or I'm gone. it fits well with the next two tracks on the CD, "Halfway Gone" (where he discusses already having one foot out the door) and "It Is What It Is" (basically the process of being honest and accepting that neither of them are interested in keeping the relationship going any longer).
no comment yet, huh? so he has broken up with this girl, but he can't get over her,but he finally decides that it's time to move on,because there is no hope to ever get back together with the girl again(the light inside has left me too),and he wants to be with someone who understands him and loves him back.
i think it's a great song.catchy,too.and Jason totally outsings Chris Daughtry (though Chris is just singing the backing vocals,so i guess it doesn't count!)
I’m feeling exactly the same way. Can’t hang on anymore. Letting go.
