Just a thought, as for the meaning, i think the chorus does have to do with sex: shedding skin=taking off clothes ive got other ideas about it, but i dont really feel like typing that much.. great song though, tied for #1 off the whole album, for me at least anyone else got any ideas?

About the meaning, I believe that the song is about the desire of being with someone you lost or let go or went away. Is about the feeling of missing that person, and the memories with her/him "sound a lot like life and love". Maybe the chorus is about sex too, it could be something like imagine to be passionately together remembering old times: "Shedding skin to a dying song"... I think that this is a song about miss someone or the moments with that someone when you're along and feel the need of being loved again...
To me, this song is about the ending of a relationship, where you know things are slowly falling apart but you're trying to pretend they aren't. "Little deaths to a dying song" is the whole song encompassed for me.
