It's actually:

"She'll be the witness to the repose of Evelyn Push the needle in to the canticles of ecstasy. Turn to page 43 and you'll know how I feel."

The now infamous "page 43" is the clue Ville put into the song and was reluctant to give it away. It refers to a 1947 issue of "Life Magazine", on the page 43 of which was a photograph of Evelyn McHale in death. Evelyn leaped from the top of the Empire State building shortly after having met with her fiance one day. She fell on top of a limousine and moments after had a picture of her dead body immortalized by a photography student. The picture was later featured on page 43 of Life Magazine. It was later reported that Miss McHale had a scribbled note in her pocket - which said that her fiance was "better off without her" and she'd "never make a good wife to anyone".

This also pretty much reveals how Ville himself is feeling when instructing us to turn to page 43 - that try as he might, he would make the one he loved unhappy. In a sense unworthy of love. It could also be referring to the emotions the picture itself stirs: love and tragedy combined (a frequent leitmotif in Ville's music) as well as the grace and the sadness it invokes on first sight.

Just a few corrections...

in the chorus, instead of cold, come rip me rid out of sorrows

it sounds more like crawl, come breathe me in, bleed out all sorrows

and then at the 2nd chorus, i think its She'll be the witness to the ropose os Nevelen push the needle in.. ...

pretty sure thats it... great song, lots of mythological referances, really well written..

anyone got a clue as to the page 43 referance? thats the only part thats still got me puzzled...

Great song!.. I think what Ville is saying, is turn to page 43 of his book. Which I would say is, Love In Theory and Practice: Chapters 1-13.. Turn to that page, and you'll know how he feels.

and on the part of swear on your heart's grave i'm wrong, it is "and love life your life depended on it, cause it does"

Cassandra- Greek myth ' she who entangles men', she had the gift of foresight. Solomon-biblical, i believe he was the king who said to cut the baby in half. There was two women fighting over who was the real mother of the child, and when he said cut them baby in half so they can each have it the real mother said no, the other women could have the child. thus, that's how they found out who the real mother was. Sword of Damocles is from greek mythology. basicly in here he's meaning impending doom, or constant worry. as for page 43 i have noooo clue

I agree with xscarletxstarx. I think he's expressing devotion as to anchor his trust for her love and support(loyalty and respect). Maybe as if he's praying to her to make him virtuous as she's virtuosa.
