I think this song is about sex "Lets lose us some sleep" "Lets get physical" "Lets try and break our bones tonight" "lets share chemicals"...it all refers to hxc sex lol

First off this song is amazing! Secondly, I love how realistic it is. To me this is just like a love song that actually relates to real life. He knows neither of them are perfect, they are both fucked up but they are good for eachother and he wants to get it on. simple really.

I first heard this song when I was studying Shakespeare's sonnet 130 in english. They are very similar I think.
