You feel it all around yourself
You know it's yours and no one else
You feel the thought of love again
It's all around
You're tired of all the things you did
You work it out

You feel it all around yourself
You know it's yours and no one else
You feel the thought of love again
It's all around
You're tired of all the things you did
You work it out

One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard in my life.

I think "learning" is "love", though. I just don't hear "learning" in there. Doesn't make much sense, either.

    Lyric Correction

I believe the line "You're tired of all the things you did" could possibly be "In spite of all the things you did."

    My Interpretation

I think this song is talking about the way addiction (drugs or bad love/habits) makes you feel and its typical relapse cycle that is never ending. I think that because of the lyrics but also because of the ambient HAZE that the song makes you experience with its sounds. The sound surrounds you just like addiction. This song made me feel high/stoned just listening to it. I also think that because the song is one set that repeats itself over and over again- like the cycle of addiction. i see the cycle split into three in this song and here they are...

in the beggining- you feel it all around yourself (your drug of choice consumes you) you know it's yours and no one else (it gives you a feeling that only you know and it's precious to you. it's personal) In the middle- you feel the thought of learning again ( i think this is referring to when you start to admit to yourself you have a problem. you start craving the life you had before where you learned things and grew as a person) it's all around (that craving for learning and living is all around. you feel it. your family tells you, your friends tell you, you can't deny it anymore. it's all around

In the end- you're tired of all the things you did (the way you were when you were an addict. the person you were, the things you said and did. you're tired of it all

you'll work it out (this is something everyone says to
themselves at some point in time but this is
something all addicts think to themselves
almost every day. you reason with yourself
that it will all work out so you keep doing it

    Song Meaning

Washed out is all about the past. Especially giving nostalgia to people who grew up in the 80's. There are hidden, almost "subliminal messages" in the music; of old songs, commercial tunes, sound effects from radios, or small things people grew up hearing and didn't notice. Doing this brings nostalgia to some. This song is one of the most obvious examples, just listen to "I want you" by Gary Low. I've heard some things about the music being made by using sounds from cassettes, and that might be a reason why the audio is so wild. It almost sounds like there was way to much hypercompression before it was mastered, but it sounds cool and easy to listen to. That's good enough for me.

I believe they are something more like this.

Listen to the Toro Y Moi remix of this song. It's easier to tell.

You feel it all around yourself You know it's yours and no one else You feel the thought of learning then It's all around You're tired of all the things you did You like it all

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.
