In one of their concerts, before Tegan started singing, she said like why she wrote it. this is what she said :

I'm absolutely in love with this song; I think it really captures the raw feelings of want, jealousy, and fear that one can experience in a relationship. You can be so terrified that you're the only one going all in when you're falling in love, and these kinds of thoughts can really plague you. I've been there, and I still worry like this sometimes.

I dunno, I still think "You'll be back" makes sense. and it's "over the ocean." and it's "what I want's right here with you." she does not pronounce "is." and "In the door, CAN I hear saying you don't wanna fight?" will have to wait for the album book to prove these, I suppose.

note that I changed did to can in the lyrics =P there were a few things that were incorrect in these lyrics, but they seemed closest to me you're right about the "is" bit, and I'll fix that straight away I'm just not hearing "over the ocean" though, I'm definitely hearing "to" or maybe a rushed "into", but probably "to"

I can't remember where in the song it happens, but I honestly just think she forgot one of the lines in the song. I mean, it literally sounds like she's speaking gibberish.
