Rain

This song is definitely about life's struggles and a hope for something greater ("Trapped between this life and the light"). The writer seems to see "the rain" as necessary to improving his life and has negative and positive qualities.

On the one hand he says "I feel it's gonna rain like this for days" which has some negative connotations. But sees the value in "rain" when he says "So Let it rain down and wash everything away". The writer has hope in this process and says "I hope that tomorrow the sun will shine". The process completes itself when he says "With every tomorrow comes another life".

Knowing Scott's religious background and he normally is the writer of the lyrics for Creed, one can only assume this song has a spiritual meaning to it. The "rain" may be a reference to God's correction, forgiveness, and ultimately is restoration.

Great album and great song by Creed.

To me he is saying, he wants to put the past behind when he says "let it wash it all away" And he wonders if theres something more out there, but is afraid of moving forward and is "stuck" somewhere in between, the rain (the past) and the sunshine (the future).

Danget. I was just about to put these up. I put the lyrics for Overcome up, and I wanted to see how many I could get off of Full Circle.

Anyways, great song. I've seen people say it a lot, but it does have many similarities to Don't Stop Dancing. Out of the two on this album I've heard so far, I prefer Overcome, but this is by no means bad. Definitely can't wait until the album comes out. Just a little more than a month left.

this is definitely about scott asking God for help. it seems that Scott wants the presence of God to fall down on him like rain and just wash away his past. it clearly says: "fall down, wash away my yesterdays". Scott also tries to tell that once the presence of God falls down on him, the he will be able to start a new day and everything will be so clear. "I hope that tomorrow the sun will shine".

Is it just me, or does it seem like he's saying "Can you lend me a hand" in line 2, instead of "Can you let me in?" I'm no expert at this; I'm just going with what I hear.

yah, just some quick corrections, no big deal... "can you let me in" is really "can you lend me a hand" "what it means to live on again" is really "what it means to be whole again" Then in the second verse it's "trapped between the truth and the consequence"

Great song by Creed, best on the album. I think the meanings already been explained good enough. Ultimate summer song for me!

This song is really into me. It's like he have a lot of problems, so dark and gloomy, but just let it rain down, because there is hope with every tomorrow.
