yeah sick ass song
i'm pretty sure this about how fucked up priests are and religion in general. things like molestation of children of the church; possibly saying something about how "religious" people are learning from sinners themselves (i.e. corrupt priests/sinners in general) and that sin and slights against god are occurring right in the church. religion contradicts itself all the time and all these catholic priests are sickos. although i do see some hints of anti-god type stuff. i'm also seeing a lot about how we've been fucked from the get-go and that we are destined for hell regardless. also, he definitely thinks the bible is bullshit. brutal song either way.
Simply put, Religion perverts spirituality and faith. It turns a direct connection with the universe into a cultural force used for personal gain and power mongering. Blasphemy masquerading as the word of god.
Its definetly about the molestations and such in the church. But, however like that guy said before about how he sort of a satirical approach to these lyrics, means he could just be mocking satanists or just using a song like this as a shock factor, a way to weed out the true fans from the people that are faking listening to it. This isnt my personal favourite from the album simply because there is so much of Trevors growling and Ive been always more of a fan of his highs.
Yea I really like every BDM song, except this one, for obvious reasons if you think into it. I like that trevor is mocking Satanists tho :)>
Almost every song on Deflorate is better than this... this is my friends fav song, and I'm like wtf? the first verse is pretty good, but then it gets pretty boring...
The only thing I don't like about this band is when they write a song like this.
