I'm sorry for the Demon I've become
You should be sorry for the angel you are not
I apologize for the cruel things that I did
But I don't regret one single word I said

Just walk away
Make it easy on yourself
Just walk away
Please release me from this hell
Just walk away
There's just nothing left to feel
Just walk away
Pretend that none of this is real

Would you forgive me
If I told you that I cared
Would you be sorry
If I swore that I'd be there
Please forgive me
For laughing when you fall
I'm so sorry
But I never cared at all

Just walk away
Make it easy on yourself
Just walk away
Please release me from this hell
Just walk away
There's just nothing left to feel
Just walk away
Pretend that none of this is
None of this is

Just walk away
Make it easy on us both
Just walk away
There was never any hope
Just walk away
You already know the deal
Just walk away
Pretend that none of this
No, none of this was real

I think this can be applied to any destructive relationship where reconciling just isnt possible.

My opinion, two people have been in a relationship until they both couldn't give it anymore...and the guy thinks it'll be easyier if he says he never cared and pretended it wasn't real. It shows the pain behid bad relationships.

i think this is more or less about how one person in a relationship thinks of the other, its like taking a love song, and flipping all its meanings.... like the demeaning part of a break up....

Producer Kevin Churko encouraged frontman and lyricist Ivan Moody to take a highly personal approach throughout the record, and in this song he's dealing with relationship issues. Guitarist Zoltan Bathory explained to Kerrang!, "It's mainly about relationships and how they always seem to go really badly for him. Sometimes it's hilarious because you'll see him and he'll be like, 'I'm seeing these four chicks right now, and I'm really into three of them.'"

Yeah, well, this song describes me and a million other men. The song is obviously a man speaking to a woman after it's all gone to hell. We men try to make it work, we've always tried but everyone has always told us we're not good enough. But we know who we are, we didn't make promises, so we didn't mean to break any. We didn't mean to lie but nothing we say is true, it doesn't seem like anything is true so how can we be lying? By what standard are we being told we're demons, we already know it, we don't need anyone to tell us. We hate ourselves but what the hell can we do, so we just keep going - our women tell us we don't care so we tell them what they've always told us - that we don't care so we say "I never cared at all" - then they seem so hurt - we finally believe the truth/lie - who the hell knows what the truth is. This song's got a ton of truth in it.

great song... probably gonna be there next single. and that line at the end with the (?)... he's saying "Just Walk Away, you already know the deal" it's songs like this that make me really appreciate Ivan's talent... listen to Motograter and Ghost Machine if you like this song.

This song is about an attorney's obsession with a beautiful young woman which leads to a horrific act. He can't walk away.

This song has to deal with a bad relationship and how things won't end because one side is still hung up on the other. I had the very thing this song is about happen to me a few years ago and I really wish I had this song to listen to back then.
