Science Is Real Lyrics

Science is real
From the Big Bang to DNA
Science is real
From evolution to the Milky Way
I like the stories
About angels, unicorns and elves
Now I like the stories
As much as anybody else
But when I'm seeking knowledge
Either simple or abstract
The facts are with science
The facts are with science

Science is real
Science is real
Science is real

Science is real
From anatomy to geology
Science is real from astrophysics to biology
A scientific theory
Isn't just a hunch or guess
It's more like a question
That's been put through a lot of tests
And when a theory emerges
Consistent with the facts
The proof is with science
The truth is with science

Science is real
Science is real
Science is real

Science is real

This song is obviosly about a man who is desperately trying to find love. He illudes to love using the word science. As we all know, chemistry is both a science and a way of saying love and interaction.

He furthers his point by emphasizing fairy tales, in which most end with a marriage.

He places together autonomy and geology to point out how he is placed in a position where the two contradict each other. His city is constantly being bombarded with "knowledge" causing "earthquakes" that break his heart preventing him from commuting certain "Autonomacal" operations.

Towards the end, he speculates that his love for a certain female is not a guess, or a hunch, but a fact. He, in the end, is surprised at love being true, by overly emphasizing "Science is real."

All in all, it shows, to a broader audience, that anything is possible if you only follow your heart.

Sorry ayyamana, going to have to disagree with you on that one.

I think the lyrics here are meant to be taken completely literally and are, in fact, a response to the push by creationist groups in the U.S. to push the pseudoscientific claptrap of intelligent design on American school kids in science classes.
