Lastly, the song ends with a bang on the piano. This bang has a lot implication to it as it encompasses the intended meaning of the song.
Imogen specifically said that she took the piano out of the song because it allowed it to breathe. However, she conspicuously made the piano notable.
As such, I think the intended meaning of this song is that WE ARE ALL HYPOCRITES; regardless of the fact that we seem to catch other people in the act more than ourselves.

I can't believe no one's commented on this yet!! Definitely has to be one of my favourites on the album!! I think this song is about hypocrites - those who claim to do something and yet do the exact opposite and end up getting their hands "caught red handed in the biscuit tin". Love her voice in the backing - just an amazing song really.
According to Imogen's "Behind the scenes" video which was included with the pre-order Itunes bundle, it is exactly that! she was actually out to dinner with a vegan friend who ate a biscuit with the after-dinner tea (which had wheat at dairy in it.) She said the song is about "People who say one thing but do another"

"Deepest Swiss bank trust in you" must be a reference to Nazi gold.
During her NYC concert last night (also broadcast online), Imogen stated the origin of this song came from a situation where a male vegan friend was about to eat a biscuit, and after taking a bite, she reminded him that it had egg in it. He said "but it's just one biscuit."
Just to add... The second verse was inspired by some neighbors who were avid recyclers but actually petitioned their landlord to be allowed to cut down a tree that was blocking their view of their car in the parking lot. I quite like the politician angle though, I hadn't thought of that...
ii do agree with evryone with the hypocrite part bt at the same time it culd be her trying to cover for them (making her seem hypicritical) by saying cost ya to keep me quiet. bt overall its an amzing song! nd ii love it, ii cnt stop listening to it
So I saw Imogen in concert, and she explained the inspiration for writing this song. She had a guy over once and was going to cook for him, and he made a long list of things he wouldn't eat (wheat, meat, dairy free). So she put a lot of work into making a dinner that was acceptable to his limitations, and afterwards she had a chocolate biscuit and he asked for one and she was like "This has wheat and dairy in it, I thought you didn't eat that?" and he said "Yeah, but it's just one little biscuit." and she was thinking "Well then you could have had one little plate of pasta for dinner tonight...". So I think that the song being about hypocrisy is a very good interpretation.

I agree with everything already said -- I'm a little obsessed with this song and Imogen generally. What I really love here is that she initially presents very common, almost harmless hypocrisies in an increasingly threatening musical counterpoint. Nothing is as it appears to be and anyone could turn out to be a double-agent, even the accusing narrator, who thinks "blackmail" is "such an ugly word."
