Lost My Mind Lyrics
Close to home
Far from me
I thought I lost my goddamn mind trying to be all that you want me to be
And now you're gone, gone, gone
You won't look at me
Kodachrome is how I see
All the world's in black and white, red, blue, and green
The moment's locked up in our machine
And now they're gone, gone, gone
Oh, they're gone, gone, gone, gone, gone
From my memory
Wake up in his
We rose a toast to the rest
But nobody cares
If I let it in
Who knows what's staying under my skin
Far from me
I thought I lost my goddamn mind trying to be all that you want me to be
And now you're gone, gone, gone
You won't look at me
All the world's in black and white, red, blue, and green
The moment's locked up in our machine
And now they're gone, gone, gone
Oh, they're gone, gone, gone, gone, gone
From my memory
We rose a toast to the rest
But nobody cares
If I let it in
Who knows what's staying under my skin

Gosh, can't believe no one's commented on this one yet.
My ex recommended this CD.

This song along with We's Been Waitin' (which I've already commented on) really do seem to be about Killimanjaro.
The band had lots of problems being small time, and this song seems to reflect (again) on Dan. He had lots of anxiety during shows and recording, but tried his hardest to stay with the band.
The hidden track is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, though.
There's also some lyrics missing from it though, but I can only hear fragments, like "Took a bow and..." "No one could ever stop" "Hearts grow faster now" "We stood (stopped?) Heaven and Hell"
He's lost someone he deeply cares for, so much that he's losing his mind doing anything and everything to satisfy her. When she's gone it's like the color has gone from his life (Kodachrome is all I see) and all the moments are locked up in the complicated machine that was their relationship. It was destructive and the sole purpose for his suffering is gone.
This song hits very close to home for me.
I like the part between the lyrics the best. The rest of the song is OK. I always fall asleep when I listen to this part of the song.
