Duermete Lyrics
Lately I've been wandering around
Looking for my up and down
Oh, lately I've been all over town
What is lost and never found
I want to find tonight
I will be alright
Lately I've been wandering around
Looking for my up and down
I want to find tonight
I will be alright
I will be just fine
And I know that better days will come
And I know that better days will come
And I know that better days will come
Looking for my up and down
Oh, lately I've been all over town
What is lost and never found
I will be alright
Looking for my up and down
I want to find tonight
I will be alright
I will be just fine
And I know that better days will come
And I know that better days will come

Why are there no more comments on this song? It is absolutely beautiful. And for anyone who may read this who randomly clicked on this song, and you haven't heard it, please listen to it. It is a little lengthy but you won't notice. Not a bit.
This song reminds me, personally, of having a really horrible weekend. And then the weekend comes and everything is okay. You're on fire, and you demand attention from people who willingly give it. You're just waiting on better days that are ahead, but until then you know you will get along just fine and live the weeks just for the weekends.
I know that may not be exactly what the song is about, but that is what its about for me. Everyone should find their own meaning in songs. What a beautiful art. But please give this a hear.
"Duermete" is Spanish for "fall asleep", and what's interesting is that it's in the command form, telling someone else to go to sleep. Anyway, I can relate to this because I've been in a rough patch for the last 2 years or so and every time I go to bed, I just lay there thinking about my life so far and how things are going to improve. This song definitely helps with both falling asleep and feeling optimistic about the future.
Since Dermete is the command form of going to sleep, I think it's kinda about reminding yourself to put things in perspective and convincing yourself of something, like how you know you should be sleeping and are trying to convince yourself that 'better days will come' and that even though you feel a little lost everything will be fine- and to stop overthinking and go to sleep.
