OK I don't usually criticize Canadian rock, especially from the fact that I'm Canadian and I believe that Canada is home to one of the best modern punk, pop and rock bands I know.
So anyways, here it goes.
I listened to the 50 second sample of this song on their Myspace. Seconds into it, my eyes widened.
The question in my mind: what happened to the pop punk/alternative Faber Drive I knew?!
I was so disappointed. This song G-Get Up And Dance ripped off The New Cities. The sound change is as disappointing as The Stereos.
It's great that bands change their sound every time they plan a new album, but this change went too far, that it doesn't sound like Faber Drive anymore.
(Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. You may not agree with me but this is what I think. lol)

New album, two new members - What is the real reasons behind the former members leaving Faber Drive?
Red Bull left because he didn't want to be in a touring band and wanted to get married and have a real job. Hinsley quit because he had a beautiful little girl named Emma and wanted to be there for her 100 percent of the time. Poncho quit because he said he wasn't happy and had personality issues with me and has always been the leader of the bands he's been in. He also said he wouldn't have done some things the way I did them but couldn't pin point what those things were.
So basically I learned that Faber Drive lost 3 of its members and got new ones, and I guess that the new members had a more dance/electronica influence. THAT definitely changes things.. and PLEASE IGNORE MY PREVIOUS COMMENTS!!!
I'm gonna have another listen-through for Faber's new sound and stuff, so give me time, will ya?
Anyways, the song is about.. idk. having fun! just get up and dance your ass off!
