i like this song a lot.

I think this is about a girl who keeps trying to break up with a guy but she loves him too much so every time she tries to, she reminds herself she's "got a world of chances" and that she'll give him another chance. But then he messes up again,and even though she doesn't want to, she decides its finally over.

"It's been too hard to say, we're falling of the edge again, we're at an end."

And in the end he tries to get her back but he's had all the chances in the world and his time is up and she's moved on.

i think this song is about her suicide and bullying,

at first she says how they've got a face for a smile, but they are just so caught up in bringing her down and bullying her that they never show their kindness, i think the chances she keeps giving is to the bully and each chance is breaking her slowly because they keep tearing her apart.

and then it says : "I've got a paper and pen, I go to write a goodbye" i think that's talking about a suicide letter, but then she realizes she's got a world of chances.

then she says she's lost faith and that she's falling off the edge and that she's at an "end" so that suggests that she committed suicide

"Maybe you'll call me someday Hear the operator say the number's no good" i think this part says that the bully tried calling and finding her but the "operator" says that the "numbers no good" which symbolizes that she isn't there anymore

"She had a world of chances, for you She had a world of chances Chances you were burning through" and then it goes to past tense which shows that she HAD those chances but not anymore because she's dead

"You've got a face for a smile, you know" she just wants the bully to know that even after she's gone she wants them to smile and stop the hate

A relationship where she keeps getting hurt by her partner, even though she's given them chance after chance to make it right. She breaks things off and wonders if they'll try to contact her one day to no avail because she's long moved on.

I can really see how much she's matured with this song. The lyrics are actually pretty fantastic.

it could possibly be about a friend who keeps giving up on life and her problems.

'You've got a face for a smile, you know A shame you waste it When you're breaking me slowly'

that could be about how beautiful this friend is and she deserves happiness and love, but its no use cause her friend fakes a smile to pretend shes okay but that hurts her cause she knows everythings not okay

along the line of having second chances but her friend has given up on everything

I think this song is about a girl who is contstantly forgiving a guy for the stupid things that he does, giving him all the chances in the world even though she probably realizes he doesn't deserve it. Then one day she decides she's had enough and says she's had enough.

i think this song can be about anyone who has used and abused every chance you have given them. The lyrics are amazing and they leave some ambiguity as to who the song could be about. this is one of my favorite songs on the album!
