I thought it was a heartbreak song at first. I thought it was about a couple just breaking up and both of them want to say something to each other, but also not wanting to give up their pride.

It could also be a song about a crush because you know that you two have a spark but neither one of you want to admit it or make a move on the other.

This relates to me because there's this guy I used to like and we both liked each other and we knew it, but neither one of us wanted to make a move. And now we're both in the same club (at school) and we always peek glances at one another but don't want to admit that we still like each other.

wow. this reminds me exactly of the beginning of my senior year of high school. this boy rlly liked me, he even told me, but he was younger and never made a move. i totally get this. its all about anticipation and desire, but it never following through.

i think its about how the two of them have this amazing spark and they both know it. but they never cross over that line of being just friends no matter how hard or far it gets, and it's annoying cause she wants to be more than this
