I relate to this... I really liked this guy and really put myself on a roller coaster, hating him, then wanting to be with him. I finally got over it, but it's (for me, at least) about knowing somebody's hurt you before and they'll probably do it again, but you can't bear to see them out of your life.
This is seriously my life right now. Basically, its about falling in love with someone so hopelessly that even though that person repeatedly ends up hurting you, you are willing to hold onto him. He might do it inadvertently but either way, you know the relationship is dysfunctional and is only making you hurt yourself. Its sort of self-destructing because your love for him has become a haze on your judgement. The best remedy would be to let go. But you love him so unconditionally that you are willing to overlook the pain and be with him. He has become a drug for you. You know its wrong, but you have stubbornly decided to never give up.
I don't normally listen to Disney singers, not my type of music...but I came across this song and I love it. So perfect for a situation in my life. I love him, and I can't let him go even though I really know I should.

i love this song and the lyrics. Demi isn't your typical disney star. she didn't put a lot of time space between her debut album and second one, but Here We Go Again shows that she does not disapoint.
My opinion of Disney music borders on "extreme dislike" but I really like this song. It's different from most of the stuff they play.
