Feel Lyrics
[male vocalizing]
Feels like I've spent all this time
Taking walks
Feels like I gotta let go
Of the way it was before
Are you really there?
Are you made of stone?
Am I talking to someone?
Or am I here all alone?
Are you alive?
Don't you feel?
Show me you're here.
Show me your tears.
Don't you feel?
Show me.
Hold me.
Speak up and tell me something
Change my mind before it's too late
Are you alive?
Show me you're human.
Can't you feel?
Seems like you're stuck in a daze
Slipping away
I'm sick of trying to reach you
Can't you say what's on your mind?
Maybe we're losing a race
Too far behind
Tell me I'm not the only one
Who can try
Who can fight
Are you alive?
Don't you feel?
Show me you're here
Show me you're tears
Don't you feel?
Show me.
Hold me.
Speak up.
And tell me something
Change my mind before it's too late
Are you alive?
Show me you're human.
Can't you feel?
Feel?
Feel?
Sometimes the words, they don't get through
What really speaks is what you do
Open up, let me inside
Just wanna find you
Are you alive?
Are you?
Are you?
Show me you're here.
Show me your tears.
Don't you feel?
Feel?
Feel?
Show me.
Hold me.
Speak up and tell me something
Change my mind before it's too late
Are you alive?
Show me you're human.
Can't you feel?
Feel?
Feel?
Feel?
[Marie Vocalizes]
Wake up
Are you dead?
[repeat chorus]
Taking walks
Feels like I gotta let go
Of the way it was before
Are you made of stone?
Am I talking to someone?
Or am I here all alone?
Don't you feel?
Show me you're here.
Show me your tears.
Hold me.
Speak up and tell me something
Change my mind before it's too late
Show me you're human.
Can't you feel?
Slipping away

Feels like I've spent all this time Taking (to walls)<LYRIC CORRECTION Feels like I gotta let go Of the way it was before
I think she is saying that she's spent all this time talking to him but he's never listened and done what she's asked him to so she feels she's been talking to walls. And then she goes on to say that it wasn't always like this and that she realizes she has to stop grasping onto the past and waiting for it to go back to the way it was because it's never going to go back to the way it was. She's saying that she's got to let the past go.
Are you really there? Are you made of stone? Am I talking to someone? Or am I here all alone?
She's saying that because he's so blase in the relationship and indifferent to her feelings she's wondering whether he really is in the relationship at all. She's asking whether she's alone in the concept of the relationship.
Are you alive? Don't you feel? Show me you're here. Show me your tears.
Don't you feel?
Show me. Hold me. Speak up and tell me something Change my mind before it's too late
Are you alive? Show me you're human. Can't you feel?
In the chorus I think she's asking whether he's alive and human because he acts like a stone, devoid of genuine emotion. And she's asking him to show her that he feels and to cry to prove that he can feel. I then think she's asking him to speak up if he does feel and to anything to prove that he does love her becfore it's too late to change her mind on leaving him.
Seems like you're stuck in a daze Slipping away I'm sick of trying to reach you Can't you say what's on your mind?
Maybe we're losing a race Too far behind Tell me I'm not the only one Who can try Who can fight
I think she's saying he's slipping away because of his lacking in the relationship. She's sick of trying to get him to say something or do something that is evidence he's committed as much as she is to the relationship, and then she's asking him to do something simple like saying what's on his mind, kind of putting across the fact that she doesn't want to force him but is instead trying to get him to take 'baby steps' and do something easy first.
Sometimes the words, they don't get through What really speaks is what you do Open up, let me inside Just wanna find you
In the bridge she's saying that words don't mean a thing compared to the actions that someone takes; since actions speak louder than words. And then she's going on to say that she wants him to open up to her and let her see the real him.
Wake up Are you dead?
Here I think she is telling him to wake up, but then going on to ask him whether he is dead, though not in the literal sense but in the sense of emotion and humanity. Asking him whether he is lacking of anything that would not hinder the relationship and set it back on track.
And whilst the would totally be off subject, I'd like to end the comment saying that this song always reminds me, every time I listen to it, which is a lot, of Sookie Stackhouse and Eric Northman from True Blood and in the books. I mean, the lyrics are perfect for Eric.
