I Have to Look Up Just to See Hell Lyrics

the fruit is speechless
before our sorceries
the party has just begun
time lapse and dancing and rotting in place,
and we have reached the high end of low
the high end of low
the high end of low

you can take me,
the grave can take me
the earth is waiting to eat us alive
i love you damaged,
i need human wreakage
i have to look up
just to see hell

fallen, fallen, fallen from grace
now for you
this is why you should run
fallen, fallen, fallen from grace
now for you
this is why you should run

the core of a woman
is where her body
chooses to revolve like a corpse
centrifugal, melted under the skin,
bacteria..
into the napalm heart i explode,
i explode
i explode

you can take me,
the grave can take me
the earth is waiting to eat us alive
i love you damaged,
i need human wreakage
i have to look up
just to see hell

fallen, fallen, fallen from grace
now for you
this is why you should run
fallen, fallen, fallen from grace
now for you
this is why you should run

the light shines in the darkness
and the darkness will never understand it
the light shines in the darkness
and the darkness will never understand it
the light shines in the darkness
and the darkness will never understand it
the light shines in the darkness
and the darkness will never understand it

you can take me,
the grave can take me
the earth is waiting to eat us alive
i love you damaged,
i need human wreakage
i have to look up
just to see hell

you can take me,
the grave can take me
the earth is waiting to eat us alive
i love you damaged,
i need human wreakage
i have to look up
just to see hell

mabey.. he's lower than hell, so he has to look up to see it.

Manson has stated in interviews that this song was partly inspired by Milton's "Paradise Lost," which is an epic 12-book poem about the fall of Lucifer. "Into the Fire" was also partly inspired by the poem. It is a recurring theme in the album, not being able to have something (in this case love), so you spend your time trying to destroy everyone else's.

this song is one of a kind off of the new album. it doesn't relate to any other manson song, and not that it doesn't fit in on the album, but it's really really different. i like it alot though, the fallen part gives me chills.

i'm not sure what it means. i'm horrible at translating songs, let alone manson's. but this song is one of my favourite off the album.

possibly he's too damaged for how good she is and doesn't deserve her?

No, SHE is damages. HE needs human wreckage.

i very much doubt he regrets being himself.. mabey he's just learning more about himself. "the light shines in the darkness and the darkness will never understand it" possibly seeing light in places he didn't before because of a woman.

the light shines in the darkness and the darkness will never understand it is also a bible verse John 1:5 which i find particularly interesting because there is a song "15".

i was just thinking the same thing, i too find this interseting, seems that a lot of his words are from biblical reference

Also MM refers to the number 15 in a lot of his art even before this album. Mar1lyn Man5on anyone?

regardless this song sounds like a storm.tornado,lightning. to me the song is full of impressions. tho its ironic that this is the peak of the album in my opinion.

cant get any lower.

"fallen, fallen, fallen from grace" "forbidden from Heaven and useless in Hell"

I really hope MM isn't going to convert to Jesus, because this album sounds like he is kind of regretting being himself.

sounds like the story of lucifer

this is not true, im just throwing out some kind of idea. but maybe its an atheist point of view, of not having a clear vision of what ever god, heaven, hell might be? i dont want to bash any atheist i respect you, but i have never really met a atheist happy being atheist. they seem to have used it as a way to either get revenge on a negitive life, or even try and ignore it, if your going to comment me back, please make it subjective and not defensive, i dont see what would be wrong with manson converting to jesus, everything he does he puts that MM twist on it that makes it sound sick lolol, i mean GOAG wasnt as good, but all the thoughts and beleifs that could be thrown into the golden age before nazi germany,,,that shit was clever.

the album did kinda have that conversion theme huh? but maybe it needs to be looked at symbolically not literally. maybe its just a way of saying its time for a change. something to the extent of "i have been to hell and back"

hell being a horrible time in whatever circumstance

Well, I don't think you're bashing atheists so much as making a generalization, or from what is sounds like, a biased opinion from your own experience. Remember that atheism can be interpreted in a positive or negative way, it really depends.

I see it as more optimistic than pessimistic. Sin for gratification, indulge in being human because there is nothing wrong with it :) Live life to the fullest, because this is your one true life. This is the theme of Laveyan Satanism, that Manson goes by as well as other philosophies.

Getting revenge on one's own negative life doesn't seem...
