Lay It Down Slow Lyrics
If you've got dreams in your heart
Why don't you share them with me?
And if dreams don't come true
I'll make sure that your nightmares are through
If you've got pain in your heart
Why don't you share it with me?
And we'll just wait and see
If it's half of what it used to be
And lay it down slow
Lay it down free
Lay it down easy
But lay it on me
If you've got love in your heart
Why don't you keep it with mine?
I can't promise a miracle
But I'll always be trying
And lay it down slow
Lay it down free
Lay it down easy
But lay it on me
Lay it down easy
Lay it on me
Lay it down easy
But lay it on me
Why don't you share them with me?
And if dreams don't come true
I'll make sure that your nightmares are through
Why don't you share it with me?
And we'll just wait and see
If it's half of what it used to be
Lay it down free
Lay it down easy
But lay it on me
Why don't you keep it with mine?
I can't promise a miracle
But I'll always be trying
Lay it down free
Lay it down easy
But lay it on me
Lay it on me
Lay it down easy
But lay it on me

I think I put this in the wrong section. Anyway... this song was used in Prison Break. A song meant for the husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend that Michael Scofield was. The lyrics, perfectly suited for him as a structural engineer. He said, "It's the job of a structural engineer to make sure everything he creates is designed to withstand the weight placed upon it." That's what the lyrics mean for him. "Lay it on me." He's speaking as a structure, telling his loved ones that he can withstand the weight placed upon him.
I feel every lyric in this song heavily. I miss her so much, i destroyed the best thing i could have hoped for in life. Why do we do this to the ones that cherish us...
No comments? I love this song so much. First heard this song on Prison Break. It is so beautiful and the lyrics pretty much say it all.
i never thought i'd be liking song like this but now i do. the only reason i see is because of prison break. when i hear this song it makes me remember all the nice moments i had when i was watching the show. its really great that it really fits on the story. first time i heard this, it makes me wanna cry. michael dies. it sucks. it only means there really is no season 5 hehehe
It's clearly a love song. I think he's saying that he can take whatever baggage she has. I would almost sat it's a proposal song. Or even a friend professing his love to a hurt friend.
My personal opinion is that he is trying to make someone feel better (if you got pain in your heart Why don't you share it with me? And we'll just wait and see If it's half what it used to be ) or just he wants to make sure someone that he loves him or her
