people who whine and bitch that OLP doesn't sound like they did 10 years ago need to shut up. OLP is still the same band they were when they first started they are just OLDER now.

i totally agree. if you really and truely love the band ( as i do) you appreciate every song and every album. whats great about OLP is that their music has such a variety of different sounds. raine's voice is still as amazing as it was on Naveed, even though it has changed slightly.

I think Raine's voice has changed more than slightly. Then again, I'm listening to clips from Burn Burn as I write this. Their whole music style has evolved. Burn Burn is going to be an artsy record, a weird blend of Spiritual Machines and Healthy in Paranoid Times, with the occasional Naveed/Clumsy moment, and Gravity portion. Happiness.... Is Not A Fish That You Can Catch is evident in Paper Moon. That whole song is awesome.
I think Raine's voice has changed more than slightly. Then again, I'm listening to clips from Burn Burn as I write this. Their whole music style has evolved. Thanks! I haven't listened to much more than just this song but I am sooo excited about their new album! I definitely hear healthy in paranoid times in this song, which makes sense. Not to mention in all fairness to the band they had to develope. Music does change within 10 years...and they've been around longer than that. I think it's just as deep as anything and can't wait for the new album!!! And you think you ramble...sorry...

AGREED! I have loved all of their CDs and even my least favourites of their songs (mostly those released on the radio like 'Somewhere Out There') are still songs that I would rather listen to than so much of the other stuff out there. OLP is my #1 all time favourite band. =D

I love this song. I have OLP's albums, and the music video is so cool. I think the girl who stars in the new version of 90210 is in it. It's cool. To me, this song means that the guy had fallen in love with this girl, and she split him up, made him who he is. She saved his life, and he owes her so much. He loves her and is giving her is heart. I love the lyrics. So genius. It's cool, too, how they're poetic, sorta. Like, "I'm not for sale, But I've been sold, The more I hear the less i know, And the lies are swallowed whole, And their insignificance" sounds so poetic, doesn't it? I like it. OLP is an awesome band!!!!

I'm loving this song so far i just hope the rest of the album is just as good.
I think the song is like the Florence Nightingale effect but the "patient" doesn't want this affection.
I'm expecting this song to be way different than the rest of the album. I'm not too worried. They haven't been a big deal, or released a major single, for however many years. They must've wrote this song to get back into the public eye and onto mainstream charts.
I've been an OLP fan forever and i don't understand why fans don't like this. Sure it sounds a bit like a radio pop-rock song but have you listened to the lyrics?? I think this is an amazing song. Raine uses a great deal of emotion as usual and was able to create something very powerful in my mind. Can't wait to hear the rest of the album!!

I must say, OLP has the best lyrics in their songs. But anyway, I think I found out the meaning to the chorus line. When it says "You pulled me out of that flat line" it's meaning that monitor that shows your heart beating or whatever cuz when it's a flat line, it means the patient's heart isn't beating at all
i kno exactly wat the song is saying "Like the red sea you split me open" is saying that you got me to trust in you and i still hate the fact that it keeps happening to me
