The last two lines fascinate me, simply elegant

sounds right to me.. i'm sure about all of it except "I am the dawn as you feed" but i have no idea what else it could me. I could a little dramatic with the "feeeedddd"s there, haha.

that's sort of interesting, don't you think? i would be creeped out if i was sandy mcleod. but it was quite the idea to turn them into a song.

When I saw him do at a Right Away, Great Captain! gig a few months after the record was released, he said that the first verse wasn't even written by him. It was written by a young 8 year old child and he found it and loved it. Incredible that such a young child wrote something so haunting.
So what the hell did that 8 year old girl experience that brought the words of the first verse to her mind? It's so emotional, the depth indescribable for the unshieled soul.
