Brakes on
Brakes on
The car is running empty
Brakes on, brakes on
The car is runnin' empty
Downhill
Head on
This crash is comin' slowly
Downhill
Head on
This crash is comin' slowly
Move
Or watch the slow death of your way of life

There's a science to fear
It plagues my mind
And it keeps us right here
And it keeps us here

My ears
My eyes
My brain is slowly bustin'
Black smoke
Red sky
The television's sayin'
Downhill
Head on another crash is comin'
Downhill
Head on another crash is comin'
Move
Or watch the murder of your way of life

There's a science to fear
It plagues my mind
And it keeps us right here
And the less we know
The more we sit still
My baby's stuck on a road
That leads to nowhere
Nowhere, nowhere, nowhere, nowhere

Brakes on
Brakes on
Brakes on
Brakes on
Brakes on
There's a science to fear
It plagues my mind
And it keeps us right here
And the less we know
The more we sit still, sit still
My baby's stuck on a road
That leads to nowhere
Nowhere, nowhere, nowhere, nowhere

It's not hard to work it out really. Science of fear - the way the world has been since the turn of the century. The video gives it away with the shot of the highrise windows shattering. Clever, clever stuff Temper Trap. Love your work.

this song is just inexplicably beautiful... the song's meaning is that , people dont do what they want in life , because their afraid..this crash is coming slowly means that over time , you will just lose whatever hope you had, of being what you want , and your then you stuck that way forever, which is "watch the slow death of your way of life", what is ones life without dreams..

my ears my eyes my brain is slowly bustin black smoke red sky the television's sayin downhill head on another crash is comin

what this means is that people have such an influence on us that we loose ourselves just trying to satisfy our friends or parents whoever by becoming what they want, and loosing ourselves in the process, what we hear and see are everything..what he means by the television is that its manipulation, and so another crash is coming ...

I took it to mean his making a social commentary on the death of religion and a new age of reason; "science". Science doesn't take us to a place called heaven. It keeps us right here, on earth, when we die we die. And people who still believe in religion their brakes are running out, they are following blindly and not listening to reason, so they will be the ones to watch the murder of their way of life. So they are to fear science. Because the less we know the more we sit still, meaning nothing will change if we don't learn from science and turn away from ancient texts which don't have relevance in today's moral and practical world. I also take the words "my baby's stuck on the road, which leads to nowhere" to be a girlfriend who still believes in religion.

    Just my interpretation

I think this song has nothing to do with religion and religion is NOT science it it belief my opinion of what the song means is that we let society control our way of life. "and the less we know the more we sit still" not knowing what to do is fear "and plagues my mind and it keeps us right here" the definition for plague means an type of horrendous infection or annoyance. Put this together, what "I" here is overwhelming and if "I" know nothing to do i must sit here and wait but it'll end up being to late. "the television's sayin downhill head on another crash is comin" Take it from the movie 2012 they sat and wait and for some it was to late. Choose your way of life don't let society choose it for you.

    Song Meaning

    In my opinon.

The title science of fear refers to how certian groups use FEAR to manipulate other groups, communities and even shape the government and the future.

    The exploding building.

The model is of some kind of explosion occuring inside the building, sending the glass shards out. I have read and seen things that say that body parts and debris were found, landed ontop of other buildings far far away from the twin towers attack site.

    Th meaning in my opinion.

The true meaning of this song is blunt and obvious. FEAR is used to allow oursleves to be brainwashed into a certain way of thinking and we are on a road of a perpetual arrested development. Sure the things around us change, technologies advances but we oursleves stay the same, same way of thinking, same ways of resulting in violence and ending things in violence when something doensn't work right. We remian on the path to destruction.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
