Ohhh ohh ay ay ay ay ayy
Ohhh ohh ay ay ay ay ayy
Ohhh ohh ay ay ay ay ayy
Yaaa

You touch me baby, then you untouch me baby
You feed me your lies, words like pie
You want me baby, then you unwant me baby
Outsmart me baby, now I'm all crazy

But I should be ashamed cause I
Let you do me this way and its
Unfortunate, that when your in love
You never use

[Chorus]
The right side of your brain
Right side of your brain
Right side of your brain
Right side of your brain
Right side of your brain
Right side of your brain
Right side of your brain
Right side of your brain

You loved me baby, unlove me baby
You lead me on, you lock the doors on love's home
You heart me baby, then you hardly baby
You need me baby, and then you send me gone
You say I'm your friend, up until the end
When you tell it baby, you know how to sell it baby
(Dontcha?)

But I should be ashamed cause I
Let you do me this way and its
Unfortunate, that when your in love
You never use

[Chorus]

Oohh ohh ohhh ohhh
Oohh ohh ohhh ohhh
Oohh ohh ohhh ohhh
Oohh ohh ohhh ohhh

You love me baby, unlove me baby
Let me be, set me free
Come near me baby, I'm not near you baby
You say I'm your friend, then why are we at the end?

Well I should be ashamed cause I
Let you do me this way
And I know that all this time I
Should've been usin'

[Chorus]

Oohh ohh ohhh ohhh
Oohh ohh ohhh ohhh
Oohh ohh ohhh ohhh
Oohh ohh ohhh ohhh

    Song Meaning

He's describing how the whole time they were dating, she was actually fooling and playing him, and was real wishy washy around him, however he couldn't see it, because he wasn't thinking logically. (using the right side of your brain.) he was letting his emotions get the best of him, and it ended in heartbreak.

    love this songg :]

The right side of the brain, I think has two different meanings in the song. At the beginning he is talking about the girl who never used the right side of her brain as in the actual right side of her brain which deals with emotion and romanticism. However when he starts talking about himself in the, "the right side of my brain", I think he is actually referring to the right side as in the "correct" side, the left side which deals with logic, meaning he wasn't thinking logically about the relationship when he should have. In short, the girl was being too unemotional in the relationship, using the left side of her brain, while the guy was foolishly thinking romantically, using the right side of his brain.

    Memory

My heart hurts when I hear this song, both The-Dream and jj versions. It reminds me about this really rational guy I dated who couldn't use the right side of his brain for love & relationships - only his left, rational side. I wasn't right for him on paper and although deep down I know he fell for me, the logical left side of his brain didn't let him be with me.

People should let the right side of their brain make decisions on love.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
