I think this song is to people who expect everything about the band to be perfect, the way they want it to be, and Josh is kind of saying "I'm doing my best, we're doing our best, so just be happy that we're here at all and not just quitting." ... Yeah.
I think this song is about. hm, A boy and a girl that were in a relationship a long time ago, and The boy changes and, ever since he changed it hasnt been 'right' between them. So. i think that this part is referring to Josh's past. he used to be addicted to haroin, belemic, and self mutalation i think, but all thats over and done with. he's a new person and now he can be perfect, which was his goal all along. thats why he had his problems, because he felt he wasn't good enought, right? now he's healthy and he has no reason to not be perfect. everyone knows though, that he used to have all those problems, so he has to be even better, to rise above that.
bacicaly i think this song is about Josh living his new life in the music idusry,trying to prove to everyone that hes not that punk kid anymore, and he will do anything to prove himself.

So, went to the Calgary Stampede got shiit signed and I really wanted to know what this song was about. While Josh was signing my shirt I asked him what it was about. This isn't specific but heres a rough understanding of what he said: "All it's basiclly about is the music industries trying to change us or other people into something that everyone wants or desires. It is just to say that some artists or bands will try to be 'perfect' for money and popularity but we hope and will try not to change just because critics say something is wrong about our image or music." I think they are Perfect they way they are in my opinion <3

I believe this song is about a boy and a girl in a relationship for awhile, and the boy changed, and is about to lose her, so the girl wanting this boy to be everything that's perfect to her, as in her idle partner. And this boy so in love with her, is trying his hardest to do so by saying "What you want, what you need, has been killing me.Trying to be everything that you want me to be" He will do anything for her and her affections, even if it's not him or what he's into, "I'll say yes, I'll undress, I've done more for less, and I will change everything till it's perfect again."
