this song isn't half bad.

and i think the meaning is pretty obvious. she's a bitch to him and doesn't know what she wants and he's done with that anyway. damn girls.

it's so easy to relate to this song!

i think this its like this guy is so into this girl but she is isn't interested in him at all, although i think she comes crying to him at times and builds him up

he says 'damn girl, dry ur eyes, you stole my heart and then you kicked it aside' shes crying over all her problems and hes like damn girl dry ur eyes look at wat u hav done to me, u dont need to cry

'When, on the other hand, you know I, I'm not much better without you' because the girl knows that he isn't going to b happy without her she can go off wit other boys knowing he will take her back

'Yeah, and there you go again You lift me up And then you throw me back down' she builds him up over and over again, leading him only to drop him again, its almost as if he knows wat she is doing yet he cant help himself,

'If you feel like running today You know I'd understand ' but after everything, he still is there for her cause he loves too much, he will still understand if she doens't choose him

"I'm not much better without you" He's pretty much alone either way because she's with other guys and doesn't really want him.

"And all you need is an alibi" She always has a cover for where she's been and who she's been with.

The "damn, girl" part seems to be a bit of a double entendre. It's a play on the fact that guys might say that when they see/talk to a hot chick, and also because he's realising that it's her fault that things are messed up its more of a 'damn girl you's a hoe!' kind of thing :P

"You stole my heart And then you kicked it aside" Maybe they slept together, maybe they hooked up, but it seems like they had some form of encounter and she thought it was casual and treated it so while he thought it was something more. He fell for her and she didn't want him.

"When he's inside you Know there's no room for me" This part is a very sexual line - 'inside' meaning intercourse, so when she's off having casual sex with anyone she's not thinking of or caring about him. Also it can be a less explicit reference to loving someone, as in inside your heart.

"Find you that better man" She thinks the grass is always greener on the other side.

"And I used to think That I was all you would need" He doesn't satisfy her, emotionally, sexually, whatever. He thought he could tame her perhaps.

"You lift me up And then you throw me back down" She's leading him on and then shooting him down.

what does this song mean?

this is one of my favorite songs off when the world comes down. i think the meaning is obvious, that he's through with putting up with some girls crap. but i dont think the line "when he's inside you know there's no room for me" is sexual. i think he just means that when another guy is inside her mind or heart, he's not going to deal with that, thus there's no room for him.

i get the impression that this song is like him wanting a girl to realize she can't have them both.

I think that "Potatoes" interpretation of this song is really accurate. To me, it seems as though this song is about a girl that's been "around the block" and this guy that can't help but fall for her. He knows that she's bad for him but he loves he and keeps trying to prove to himself that she'll change. They probably would've either hooked up even slept together and because of this, he still think that he has a chance with her. Also, when he says "Damn girl, dry your eyes. You stole me heart and then you kicked it aside." he means to say "What the fuck! You've apparently got problems. What the fuck do ou have to cry about?" But yeah, that's just my interpretation of this song. Ciao :)

I don't really get the "i'm your victim when all that you need is an alibi" & "A life seize from your quaint disease" parts :/ someone explain please?
