I think that "Potatoes" interpretation of this song is really accurate. To me, it seems as though this song is about a girl that's been "around the block" and this guy that can't help but fall for her. He knows that she's bad for him but he loves he and keeps trying to prove to himself that she'll change. They probably would've either hooked up even slept together and because of this, he still think that he has a chance with her. Also, when he says "Damn girl, dry your eyes. You stole me heart and then you kicked it aside." he means to say "What the fuck! You've apparently got problems. What the fuck do ou have to cry about?"
