This song is truly amazing.

It's about being in love with someone who is so different, so random, so puzzling, so mysterious. You're truly devoted to the person, realizing that past "loves" don't compare to the feeling and the love now. THIS is what love is about. It's also about not believing in a way, being jaded from past experiences, so expecting the worst - but of course you hang on!

I truly adore the intro of this song. The beat is nostalgic, in a way. You know what I mean? It's bittersweet. I love it.

My favorite line: Nothing about you is typical/Nothing about you is predictable/You got me all twisted and confused/(It's all new).

its about going through so much heartbreak and finding someone who finally doesn't break your heart. she finds it unusual that he loves her back.

poor brit brit. its basically her saying that she's found someone who she loves and who loves her back just the same but it's very unusual to her and shes shocked because her past relationships have ended with her heart being broken, and shes expecting just the same here.

Wow this is the most beautiful and mature Britney Spears song I've heard so far... Of course, it was not written by Britney Spears and probably has got nothing to do with her. :P

probably the best line of the song. i don't know if she wrote it, but it seems a bit of a response to jt's "cry me a river". i'm not a big fan of britney's, but this song is really very sweet. and sad, in a way.

great tune. hope it's a single.

i dont see this as being in love with someone you dont understand.. more of falling in love with someone who truly loves you back for the first time and after failed and bad relationships.

the chorus with her saying "didnt anyone tell you you're supposed to break my heart, i expect you to..." goes with the idea of not trusting because of past relationships. now shes found someone who doesnt let her down and isnt breaking her heart like all the other times in the past and shes confused but happy that maybe this is a different kind of love.

"Been so many things when I was someone else, Boxer in the ring, trynna defend myself, (maybe refering to an abusive relationship physical/controlling) And the private eye to see whats going on, (a guy cheating so shes always has to spy) (That's long gone) When I'm with you, I can just be myself, You're always where you say you will be, Shocking 'cause I never knew love like this, Could exist"

so basically this verse is saying how in the past her relationships were always based on her being something shes not (a boxer, private eye) and both of those position indicate negative relationships and shes saying shes finally able to be herself in the new relationship...and shes also being treated right for the first time by the guy. its unusual to her but she likes it...

i dont know.. i may be putting my own experiences into the song. i've been in an abusive relationship, physically and emotionally, and i've had pretty awful experiences with guys in general. i've finally met a guy though that makes me, the first time, think that love does exist and doesnt have to be painful and hard. speaking from someone whos come from a really bad relationship and terribl experiences with guys, learning to trust and believe in anyone and especially men, is the hardest and scariest thing to do again. its like the trama/abuse becomes your norm, so when you find someone who doesnt hit/yell/cheat/etc its hard to believe and a very unusual experience. this goes without saying but i adore this song.

Maybe it's because she broke his heart instead?
