One Foot Wrong Lyrics

am i sweating
or are these tears on my face
should i be hungry, i can't remember the last time that i ate
call someone
i need a friend to talk me down

put one foot wrong
i'm gonna fall
somebody gets it
somebody gets it
put one foot wrong
i'm gonna fall
somebody gets it
somebody gets it
the lights are on
but i'm in the dark
who's gonna find me
who's gonna find me
just one foot wrong
you'll have to love me when i'm gone

does anyone see this
lucky me, i guess im the chosen one
colour and madness
first in line
i put my money down
some freedom its the tiniest cell in town

put one foot wrong
i'm gonna fall
somebody gets it
somebody gets it
put one foot wrong
i'm gonna fall
somebody gets it
somebody gets it
the lights are on
but i'm in the dark
who's gonna find me
who's gonna find me
just one foot wrong
you'll have to love me when i'm gone

some people find the beauty
in all of this
i go straight to the dogs, i'll leave this
if its bad, is it always my fault
did somebody bring me down
did somebody bring me down
did somebody brng me down

put one foot wrong
i'm gonna fall

put one foot wrong
i'm gonna fall
somebody gets it
somebody gets it
put one foot wrong
i'm gonna fall
somebody gets it
somebody gets it
the lights are on
but i'm in the dark
who's gonna find me
who's gonna find me
just one foot wrong
you'll have to love me when i'm gone

Pink has actually said that this song is about an Acid trip gone wrong and needs someone to help her get down.

it sounds almost like suicide. She talks about things going wrong and and everything just falls apart

WOW. I havnt listened to this yet, but relate so much....its not really suicide i dont think. It's talking about how she can see what we are doing to the world, and she can see how wrong we have all gone, but everyone else thinks things are fine... she's sayingshe cant take seeing everything that we are doing to eachother and someone needs to undestand. This is just beautiful...gonna be my favourite i think.

it could be about acid if that's true, but also think it can be about depresion about not wanting to do anything cause doing something else wrong will get you deeper than were you are. But i definatly see hwo it can be about bad tripping.

it goes: i go straight to the dark side, the abyss--not something about dogs.

There are several layers to this song, open to many interpretations. I'll take a crack at it... In the first verse, she is becoming conscious after taking a hallucinagen. She is upset, and still a bit high. Putting one foot wrong means taking an action that would lead to death (weather deliberate or accidental), possibly taking more drugs to escape how she's feeling. About the color and madness that she can only see, it's the hallucinagen. Shs puts her money down to buy it, in hopes to escape from the feeling badly, knowing it's not entirely her fault, and that someone else has contributed to her feeling this way. She's in the dark because she has closed her eyes, shuting out external stimuli, and hoping a friend will show to guide her through this bad trip and sad emotion. Some freedom is the tiniest cell in town, well, a coffin is pretty tiny of a cell. A psych ward also has small cells. To escape strained emotions, freedom may be found in death, hence you'll have to love her when she's gone. Or perhaps to be committed to a facility, she won't be alone, and will have a fighting chance to get through how's she feeling. She doesn't want it to end this way, she wants someone to reach out to her, to help her feel good again. Well, that's my interpretation anyway, for what it's worth.
