The town is actually spelled "Natchitoches". It's in Louisiana.
The song is from a solo album Ben did called The Last Pale Light In The West, that was all based on Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy (Great book btw.) And the town in question is Nacogdoches, TX. It is where the kid has his first encounter with Judge Holden. Some of the lyrics on this aren't exactly correct though.
now that I've actually read the book, I realize there IS indeed a town called 'Nacogdoches' and just sounds incredibly similar to 'Natchitoches'. whoops.
