My Best Girl Lyrics
but they're going home with some other boy tonight
hell, i guess i'll be fine
'cause there's one girl whose all mine
she's seen it before, she'll see it again
because those other girls going home with him
and i'll go back to her and she don't mind
she's got six strings
she knows all about these
heartbreaking things
and though her eyes might not shine
she's always by my side
hell, she's all mine
for all night
she's my best girl by far
she's all mine
for all night
and she'll never break my heart
or if i don't come home for seven long nights
she knows that i'm hers and she knows to wait
she knows those other girls just won't last
she knows i'll always come on back
to her
she's all that i've got
she's got six strings
she knows all about these
heartbreaking things
and though her eyes might not shine
she's always by my side
she's all mine
for all night
she's my best girl by far
she's all mine
for all night
the only girl a boy can trust
is his guitar

i love this song...i just heard a couple days ago in some ones truck ... it depresses me for some reason but i love it ... the song is about how a guy cant trust a girl...and he knows his guitar will always be there for him ... the guitar is his "girl" ...

this song is pretty straight forward, he cant count on girls, but his music will always be there... anyways greatttt song.
Its about a guy who doesnt trust girls, and he knows he can just go home to his guitar knowing it will always be there for him.

why would it be the only boy a girl can trust? confused...

I feel very strongly about what Ben says here. Music has been a big part of my life for a long time. I don't play any instruments but I listen to music about 80% of the time I'm awake - and I leave it playing every night as I go to sleep. I've always been able to find music to help, or exacerbate (for some sort of mind-catharsis) my moods. I think some people find my obsession with music weird, but I also think that it's what attracts some people to me. For me there's nothing quite like finding someone who shares a similar music taste. I don't mean liking a few of the same bands you have on your iPod - I mean like actually knowing what you listen to. Because that's very close to what you are. It's how you feel when you're depressed, or sad, or happy. It's a way of sharing part of yourself, I think.
