Brown Eyes

my intrepretation of this song is "brown eyes" is aguy she likes, but she finds out he's still missing his ex gf or in love with another girl. "In your brown eyes ,You watch her go,Then turn the record on And wonder what went wrong". When she says " in your brown eyes, i was feeling low" means she fell for him in false hopes that he was really over his girlfriend at a time she was feeling vulnerable "cause their brown eyes and you never know" was just one of the silly excuses she made to hold on to him and still hope that he was over her.

The girl is totally into a guy, but he doesn't feel the same way she does because he seems to be still into his ex. So, even though it hurts, she decides to let him go, since she understands his "brown eyes" are somewhere else.

I love this song, especially the last part:

"Everything could be everything But it's time to say goodbye so... Get your last fix And your last hit Grab your old girl with her new tricks Honey, yeah, it's no surprise That I got lost in your brown eyes"

This song is definitely about unrequited love. I am exactly in this position right now so this song hits close to him.

Basically, she meets this guy and falls in madly falls in love with him. Unfortunately, he doesn't feel the same way. His mind is still on his ex.

He watched his ex go and he listens to music wondering why they broke up.

"Got some brown eyes but I saw her face I knew that it was wrong So baby, turn the record on, play that song"

I take this to mean she saw his ex's face in his eyes. Figuratively, obviously. When she looks into his brown eyes, she does not see her reflection, but rather his ex's. She knows this means he doesn't want her, so she concedes and tells him to just play his music and wallow in his pain.

It's hard for her because of her love, but she knows she has to leave him. This love isn't a two-way street. She's telling him to get all he can get from her before she goes. Then she says to go back with his ex with her "new tricks." I take this to mean his ex was manipulative and would play tricks on him. Gaga says she'll just trick him again into a bad relationship. She knows she is right for him, but unfortunately he doesn't.

this reminds me of a relationship i had. i agree with coconut33. this song makes me think that she really adores him and looking into his brown eyes and it means everything to her, but not him. and she has to leave him because she knows deep down its not her he wants, its his 'old girl' who says she's changed ('with her new tricks') it makes me feel like she was only a go between (Get your last fix, And your last hit') and everything he said was an act ('But baby it's the last show') and that he's so lost and confused himself about what he wants she's not suprised she got lost too ('it's no surprise That I got lost in your brown eyes') thats just my opinion xD aha

I have a slightly different interpretation of the song, to me it is about her losing the guys he loves for several reasons. I'm guessing the timing wasn't right, maybe they were too young or whatever and she lost him. She says: "In your brown eyes I was feeling low 'Cause they're brown eyes And you never know"
This is completely random i know but it makes me think of the fact that when you like someone you're pupils dialate and with brown eyes you can't really tell, i know it's far off and random.

I think it's about losing someone to drugs.

I always thought this song was about a pair of young lovers who had to split up due to certain circumstances (Like moving far away for university). She loves him, but for some reason beyond their control it's not going to work out and she accepts this. "Everything could be everything, if only we were older" means that things couldv'e possibly been different if they were both older and had more freedom to do whatever is in their own interest.
