Crowded Room Lyrics
Excuse me
Yeah, I'm talking to you
Look in the mirror
Could you tell me what you see?
Hard hearts are crashing
In a crowded room
You never felt so good
You never felt so free
Save you from yourself
Before you start to deal with everyone else
You should have kept it to yourself
Now we're looking to fight
This isn't all right
All right, you better hold your scripted tongue
If you ever plan to use those words again
The future doesn't make much sense
With you at the helm with your friends
This is where that ends
You've got a problem here
The tide is turning you inside out
This won't take long
Your reign is done
We are the innocent ones
You can't take back the damage done
This is the last time you will shine
Spare us your excuse
'Cause this exercise of self-abuse
Will swallow everything that you hold dear
The further you are, the closer we get
The more you need to
Hold your scripted tongue
If you ever plan to use those words again
The hallways are filled with silence
And gawking stares that don't care
This is where that ends
You've got a problem here
The tide is turning you inside out
This won't take long
Your reign is done
We are the innocent ones
You can't take back the damage done
This is the last time, last time
This won't take long
Your reign is done
We are the innocent ones
You can't take back the damage done
This is the last time you will shine
Last time you will shine
Last time you will shine
Shine
This won't take long
Your reign is done
We are the innocent ones
You can't take back the damage done
This is the last time you will shine, shine
This is the last time
Yeah, I'm talking to you

I think it's about the people in high school who judge you or put you down ""You can’t take back the damage done This is the last time you will shine." directed at the popular people most likley. The future doesn’t make much sense with you at the helm with your friends. This is where that ends."-This is kind of sarcastic saying that their future is unclear because their friends are controlling them, and they can't do anything on their own, and not follow the crowd."This won’t take long your reign is done. We are the innocent ones"-They will lose their control and 'the innocent ones' will come out in the end as the better people.
from ap magazine oct 2008: "in a twisted way, i got really inspired by Heathers where Christian Slater one by one takes out all the popular girls at his school who are terrorizing everyone. [This] song is a call to arms for me and all my freaks and geeks."
this is my favourite track off the album so far.
So far, I've been dissapointed by this album. They said that fans of Almost Here would like it and I loved almost here, didn't like Santi and I am not a fan of this album so far.
Yeah at first I hated it, but like Every Avenue's album (Shh. Just Go With It), after a few listens, I've actually started to like it. I just can not STAND Beware! Cougar! It's a piece of shit. William experimenting with his voice doesn't sound so pretty.
Onto the meaning: "Excuse me, yeah I’m talking to you. Look in the mirror, could you tell me what you see?" I think he's asking this person if she (could be a he... I'll just use she) recognizes herself anymore because she's changed so much.
"Hard hearts are crashing in a crowded room. You never felt so good, you never felt so free." This said person is breaking hearts - a lot of hearts to be more specific and it apparently makes her feel good.
"Save you from yourself before you start to deal with everyone else." I'm almost positive this means that before you criticize some one else (or something along those lines), look at yourself.
"You should have kept it to yourself, now we’re looking to fight, this isn’t alright. Alright, you better hold your scripted tongue if you ever plan to use those words again." This girl said something nasty, as if she intended to start drama or a fight. William is telling her to "hold her tongue" the next time she thinks about saying something like that.
"The future doesn’t make much sense with you at the helm with your friends. This is where that ends." Most relationships fail because of the boyfriend or girlfriend's friends. This girl apparently leads her group of friends (you know what I mean. Those groups of friends who have one person in that group that they look up to) and the narrator doesn't like these said friends.
"You’ve got a problem here. The tide is turning you inside out." I'm not too sure on this one.
"This won’t take long your reign is done. We are the innocent ones" I'm not too sure on this either.
"You can’t take back the damage done This is the last time you will shine." The girl can't take back the words/things she's said/done. Beckett's going to sell her out.
"Spare us your excuse, cuz this exercise of self-abuse will swallow everything that you hold dear" She's digging herself into her own grave, basically.
I don't really understand the rest of the lyrics. Don't snap at me if I'm wrong; This was just my interpretation.
lol i'm still getting used to every avenue's album (shh. just go with it)

The people shouting at the beginning are William Beckket, Gabe Saporta and Mitchel Musso :D
ahaha why would a hannah montana star sing on this song? try mason musso.

no one said he's gay or bi, behind_the_sea. if you're talking about how i said it could be a guy, then i meant that this song doesn't have to be about a relationship. it could be about a friendship.
i like waking up to this bby
this could be about a friendship or relationship, its the kind of song you like to think about yourself saying this to the other person if you disliked them that much, but didnt actually have the balls to say it to them
This is totally just about being bullied in high school for being different or something. Crowded room could refer to the hallways and such.
