One song about a girl
I can't breathe when I'm around her
I'll wait here everyday
In case you scratch the surface
She'll never notice

I'm not in love
This is not my heart
I'm not gonna waste these words
About a girl

Last night I knew what to say
But you weren't there to hear it
These lines: so well rehearsed
Tongue-tied and overloaded
You never noticed

I'm not in love
This is not my heart
I'm not gonna waste these words
About a girl

I'm not in love
This is not your song
I'm not gonna waste these words
About a girl

To be loved, to be loved
What more could you ask for?
To be loved, to be loved
Everyone wants to be loved
To be loved
What more could you ask for
To be loved, to be loved
Everyone...

I'm not in love
This is not my heart
I'm not gonna waste these words

I'm not in love
This is not my heart
I'm not gonna waste these words
About a girl

I'm not in love
(To be loved, to be loved, what more could you ask for?)
This is not your song
(To be loved, to be loved, everyone wants)
I'm not gonna waste these words
(To be loved, to be loved, what more could you ask for?)
About a girl

FYI, it's "To be loved, to be loved, what more could you ask for? to be loved, to be loved, everyone wants to be loved, to be loved, what more could you ask for? to be loved, to be loved, everyone..." then the "I'm not in love..." part.

The chorus explains it all. It's about liking someone, but not wanting to admit it to yourself or anyone else. He's denying that he likes a girl, ie the "I'm not in love, this is not my heart" part, even though everything else he's saying is contradicting that. William says something along those lines in a video. I think he even mentioned something about it at my Warped date...Personally, I love it. I can relate so much to this song.

I also think it's simply about a guy who loves a girl, but because she doesn't even care about him, he tries to tell himself he's not in love with her (even though he is).

    ;)

This is saying he isn't going to make a song about a girl who will never love him the same, and he's going to move on.

A lot of their songs have lyrics that contradict themselves which i think would show a struggling of emotions

Yayy, first :D I just heard this song, and I immediately took it as a guy saying that he's maybe pretending to be in love, or he's tricking himself into being in love, because that's what he wants.

I could be wrong, and I probably am. Any other suggestions?

I like this song even though i know there will be TAI fans who hate it. I sort of think it's about a guy who thinks he loves this girl, but isn't sure whether to tell her or not ("last night I knew what to say") and he denies it to his friends. Like when it says "I'm not gonna waste these words about a girl" I feel like he's trying to convince himself that he doesn't love her. I'll put more coherent thoughts up after I've slept.

I'm pretty sure he says, "Sometimes I'm overloaded, you'll never know it," not "Sometimes I don't blow it..."

I agree that I think it's about someone trying to trick himself into love or something along those lines, but why does he have to say it's "about a GIRL"? I mean, we all know the rumors going around (which are mostly true & I hate to admit it) that William Beckett is gay, so that could be part of it too.

How have these lyrics been up so long? ): I just heard the song today when they uploaded it. How am I missing out? Haha. (I'm slightly TAI obsessed)

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
