Sei ein letztes Mal ein kleines
Bisschen nett zu mir
Sei doch nett zu mir und setz
Dich endlich her zu mir

Beim ersten Mal tut's immer weh
Doch heute Nacht wirst du schon sehen
Beim letzten Mal schmerzt es noch mehr
Noch ein letztes Mal!

Beim ersten Mal tut's immer weh
Doch heute Nacht wirst du schon sehen
Beim letzten Mal schmerzt es noch mehr
Noch ein letztes Mal!

Sei ein letztes Mal ein kleines
Bisschen nett zu mir
Sei doch nett zu mir und setz
Dich endlich her zu mir

Beim ersten Mal tut's immer weh
Doch heute Nacht wirst du schon sehen
Beim letzten Mal schmerzt es noch mehr
Noch ein letztes Mal!

Beim ersten Mal tut's immer weh
Doch heute Nacht wirst du schon sehen
Beim letzten Mal schmerzt es noch mehr
Noch ein letztes Mal!

Noch ein letztes Mal

Beim ersten Mal tut's immer weh
Doch heute Nacht wirst du schon sehen
Beim letzten Mal schmerzt es noch mehr
Noch ein letztes Mal!

Beim ersten Mal tut's immer weh
Doch heute Nacht wirst du schon sehen
Beim letzten Mal schmerzt es noch mehr

Warum willst du mich nicht mehr?
Warum willst du mich nicht mehr?
Warum willst du mich nicht mehr?

Warum willst du mich nicht mehr?
Warum willst du mich nicht mehr?
Warum willst du mich nicht mehr?

Warum willst du mich nicht mehr?
Warum willst du mich nicht mehr?
Warum willst du mich nicht mehr?
Warum willst du mich nicht mehr?
Warum willst du mich nicht mehr?
Warum willst du mich nicht mehr?
Warum willst du mich nicht mehr?
Warum willst du mich nicht mehr?

Uhm... I'm very shocked by some of these comments... The video in fact IS about a pedophile person who solicites the girl. She is ok with meeting him but and then torments him. In germany the law says you are not allowed to have sex with ANYBODY under 15 if you are an adult. Until 18 its only allowed when the parents have no good reason to tell their children not to do it and of course if the younger one is ok with it. The girl was made 15 in order to make her not too young (though anything above 10 would be taken by most pedophiles) while still making it illegal. Its NOT supposed to tell you to be carefull who you are talking to on the net.

Just one last time, be a little nicer to me Just be nice to me and sit here right infront of me Just one last time, be a little nicer to me Just one last time

Please just give a little bit Please give me just one last kissy Please just give me a little bit Please change me just on last time

The first time always hurts But tonight you will surely see The last time hurts even more Just one last time The first time always hurts But tonight you will surely see The last time hurts even more Just one last time

Just one last time, be a little nicer to me Just be nice to me and sit here right infront of me Just one last time, be a little nicer to me Just one last time

I remember your promises Your lies will be your own undoing I remember your promises Today you lose me for the last time

The first time always hurts But tonight you will surely see The last time hurts even more Just one last time The first time always hurts But tonight you will surely see The last time hurts even more Just one last time

    Just one last time

The first time always hurts But tonight you will surely see The last time hurts even more Just one last time The first time always hurts But tonight you will surely see The last time hurts even more Just one last time

The video shows a guy talking with a 15 year old girl online setting up to meet with her for erotic activities. They go somewhere together and the girl starts doing a lap dance for him, but suddenly knocks him out. He comes to tied up to the chair he was sitting in with the girl tormenting him with a knife. After that, she brings some surgical equipment over and removes his testicals and waves them infront of his face. She puts them in a glass, supposedly filled with a perservative fluid. The video ends with her talking to someone else online, apparently getting herself another victim.

Most people think the video is about pedophiles who solicite children online, but I believe the age of consent in Germany is 15, so it may just be warning about people you meet online. I could be wrong though, the video does make the girl out to be a child early on with a stuffed bunny (which she cuts up while tormenting him) and 'Little red riding hood' for her screenname.

To me the song seems like its telling you to beware because people aren't who they always appear to be. You could end up being the victim in some cruel game. Honestly, i think games were played in a past relationship. Fell for someone he thought he knew and it was just a mask, a front put up to lure him in and once he got in good that she could control him how she wanted "has him by the balls" which would make her cutting his balls out and holding them make perfect sense. I've had the bad girlfriend that did the whole mask and then flip personalities on me. its not fun. its telling you to becareful, dont let it happen to you.

I'll agree with the points of the two previous points.

But, I do want to point out something that I saw.

Several years ago, the story of Arwin Mewes, the cannibal from Germany came to light. Rammstein made the song "Mein Teil" from that story, and in this case I think some of the lyrical content that Oomph! wrote was based from that. But, it does have an obvious point to pedophiles and their young victims. Since I'm a guy, this video does make me cringe a little, but the girl in the video deffly gets her revenge, or whatever you want to call it.

The song is based on the movie "Hard Candy." Or the video is a least; the lyrics are pretty vague, though it's extremely obvious that it's about causing pain to someone.

Very good song, though, and a pretty good movie as well.

Yes, the music video is based on Hard Candy -- they say that in the "making of" (I recommend it anyway, Dero's cool and has a great sense of humor ^^) video.

Personally, I think the song can be very general, along the lines of what sgtsledge said. But it also fits well with the anti-pedo vid.. especially hearing "Noch heute Nacht wirst du schon sehn, Beim letzten Mal schmerzt es noch mehr..." while the girl is mangling his bits and pieces.. :P Makes me cringe too, but it's still cleverly done.

And on a side note, I think they made her say 15 in the video just so it wouldn't be -too- shocking. Wouldn't be as well received if they used the same girl as the "Labyrinth" video, for example. This way, with this actress, it makes the point while still looking good.

Did anyone except me notice that the pedophile's handle is fritzl69? As in Josef Fritzl?

The band said it's based off the movie "Hard Candy" I've never seen it, but it sounds creepy, just like the vid.

It's a fairly vague song but I am pretty sure that the song itself has nothing to do with pedophiles. Just the video. I think the song is about a relationship that seemed like it was working or would have worked well. However, one of them ended up getting heart-broken and the other continued to tease him letting him believe that they could be together again but it's obvious to everyone else that it's not going to work. I'm not sure if my feelings have caused this interpretation or not but it seems that it could have been a warning to people like me not to let it happen.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer

In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.
