This song sounds really good. You can find a live acoustic version on youtube. For the line "You've got breaking up on the town," do you think it's "you've got breaking up almost down"? The second one makes more sense but it sounds like "on the town" to me.
The song seems to be about a woman who nonchalantly broke up with him, appearing to hardly be affected by it while he was heartbroken.
i think the song goes "you got breaking up all but down" [when he says the last three mystery words he makes a noise like a b... like how people pronounce b-u together if that makes sense]
I think that the song can be interpreted alot of ways, but i think its about him and the girl [ofcourse]. and the girl wasn't ready for the relationship, but she had gotten to far into it and when she broke up seemed seemed like a big bad guy. and stephen is upset and angry and isn't looking at the stituation from both sides. yeah. uh huh// september 30th will be a glorious day!
