@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday".
I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
Sooner or later it all comes crushing down (crushing down),
Crushing down (crushing down)
When everyone's around
I bet you would've paid up or you'll cash down (you'll cash down)
And not make a sound (to make a sound)
Everyone knows now
(So you're sad)
About the moment you lost your love (Damn)
You couldn't see her leaving
(You were gassed)
And that's sucks don't it cause
God yanked the rug and holding your heart will not help you breathe
Sooner or later it all comes crushing down (crushing down),
Crushing down (crushing down)

It's over believe it
It's over believe it
It's over believe it
It's over believe it
(So you're sad)
And you should own it and you fucked up (Damn)
You thought that you were the team
(You were gassed)
And now you're a opponent who wears your gloves (Damn)
A nightmare just ate up your dreams
Sooner or later it all comes crushing down (crushing down),
Crushing down (crushing down)
When everyone's around
I bet you would've paid up or you'll cash down (you'll cash down)

It's over believe it
It's over believe it
It's over believe it
(So you're sad)
Could have had so much done you blew it off (Damn)
Your chance is passing you by
(You were gassed)
Time waits for no one
And it cost for a lost
Because made joke should you laugh or cry
Sooner or later it all comes crushing down (crushing down),

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988.
"'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it."
"There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
I REALLY LOVE THIS SONG!! IT'S MY TOTAL FAVORITE!
I believe the reoccuring line for "you were..." is "YOU WERE GAME"
i think its one of the best songs off the album. I think the lyrics should be
"you wouldve paid up"
I don't know what it's about but it's a beautiful song xxx
Its supposed to be "And that sucks, don't it" Not; "And thats just on it"
I always thought it was "You were gaaaaaaaaaaaayyy!" But i guess "you were game" makes more sense
great song.
this is acool song. really well thought out and incorporates so much more than just "hip hop."
Clearly addresses the economy's current recession, but in a hopeful light
lol@yopop's comment XD
I always thought it "about the moment you lost your love". And also, i thought it was "to not make a sound". The song, to me, is about being in a relationship with someone you love dearly and or a dysfunctional relationship with someone and, everyone betting against it. And once you fuck up and the relationship's over you're trying to hurry up and put a hush on it because you don't wanna hear i told you so's. While you're keepin this on the hush you're wondering about all the things you've done wrong and you want to fix it but everyone, sayin it's over and to just leave it all alone. And you're in such shock that you're wondering should you cry because this seems so sudden, just accept it because shit happens or be happy because the other person is with someone else now. You never saw the relationship ending until everyone else and their ideas destroyed ya'll. But now you're contemplating whether you wanna try to make amends. Idk, i could wrong.
