Whoever She Is Lyrics
she = LIFE.
your life could be seemingly great: with money or cars, material things. but clearly money doesnt buy happiness..he "threw it all away" . life could also be complete shit (She could be rainy days, minimum wage, a book that ends with no last page). Every day can be the same old BS, but whats important here is the positive message being conveyed: One thing's for sure, you don't have to worry.
Hes saying that life seems to work itself out, no matter the situation -- as long as you have the people who have been there from the start by your side.
word.
word.
word on that^^
word on that^^
now that the album is out and the lyrics are corrected by people with the hard copy, what does it mean?
i think its about finding that one person who you'll spend the rest of your life with, your soulmate. and how you don't need to worry because fate will bring soulmates together. also that that other person could be anybody, no matter how unexpected it is.
love this song.
finally! i fucking learned it on guitar
I thought I had my girl but she ran away My car got stolen and I'm gonna be late For work this week, make that the fourth day straight But I'm fine with it
I thought I had it all but I gave it away I quit that old job now I'm doing okay Those material things they can't get in my way Cause I'm over it
( I feel that from the first two stanza's are examples of the endless possibilities that can happen. and him not dwelling over the bad things and just kind of accepting it and moving on with life.)
But whatever she may be She could be money, cars, fear of the dark Your best friends or just strangers in bars Whoever she is, whoever she may be One thing's for sure, you don't have to worry
( I feel that the word 'She' is used as a metaphor to anything that one may care of and is having trouble with. Basically he's saying that whatever/whoever 'she' is that someone you shouldn't worry or stress about 'she')
Yeah this is the part where you find out who you are And these are the friends, those who've been there from the start So to hell with the bad news Dirt on your new shoes It rained all of May 'til the month of June
[I feel that it means that we should be learning more about ourself and finding who we are. And to focus and appreciate the friends that know you and that have been supporting you and to spend time with your true friends. Not to let the bad news (which he uses dirt on your new shoes and raining all of june and may as examples) get to you.
Every day in every way she will look the same Every care you used to have just seems to float away Every day in every way she will look the same Every care you used to have just seems to float away To hell with your new shit And whether or not you think you fit in
(I feel that in this stanza he's saying as the days pass you will realise that the 'she' you were worrying about will be clear and all the solution will be clear. Also the last two lines in the stanza shows that you shouldn't have to please people by knowing all the 'latest' gossips or trends and worrying about fitting in with a group of people. Basically saying to be yourself and stop thinking of what others will think too much.)
She could be money, cars, fear of the dark Your best friends or just strangers in bars Whoever she is, whoever she may be One thing's for sure
She could be rainy days, minimum wage, A book that ends with no last page Whoever she is, whoever she may be One thing's for sure, you don't have to worry
(Basically in the last two stanza's he's listing all the problems that one could be facing making the word she a metaphor to all the problems again. And stating once again to not worry, and look ahead with a positive mindset.)
Thats what I have interpreted from the song at least. Hope it helps or fascinates anyone.
AHHH. where did you hear this!? I can't finddd it anywhere.

I heard it at their show on June 4th in Tempe, somebody posted it on YouTube and I wrote the lyrics after listening to it off of there. There were a couple lines I was unsure of: the third line and the lines that go, "Every kid you used to have..." I don't think kid is the actual word.
the correct lyrics to this part as far as i can tell:
Every day in every way she will look the same Every chance you used to have just seems to float away Every day in every way she will look the same Every chance you used to have just seems to float away To hell with your new shit And whether or not you think you fit in
oh and:
I thought I had my girl but she ran away My car got stolen and I'm gonna be late If it weren't the same curb at 4th something But I'm fine with it
IS REALLY
I thought I had my girl but she ran away My car got stolen and I'm gonna be late For work this week, make that the fourth day straight But I'm fine with it
Corrected. Thanks.
this is my fav song off the new album :)
