Not sure if this is just a crazy coincidence or not, but the title and lyrics to this song remind me of the end of the second in the Lone Wolf and Cub film series, Baby Cart at the River Styx, or the American rehash "Shogun Assassin.". When the last Hidari brother is dispatched in the sandy desert by a cut to the throat, he comments that the sound of the blood leaving his body is like wailing, a sound called the "Whistling of the Wintry Wind."

It seems like a connection. Pretty cool.
