it's about a girl who likes a guy and she wants to get together with him. but it hasn't happened yet and she's referring to him as a shadow becuz they will always be together and be close.
this song is so radical i luv the chorus and how she says the boy is lyk her shadow so he will be able to be with her everywhere she goes

i must say i know alot of people think this is about a guy but i think its about GOD if you really think about it you know always your shadow . there everywhere you go i think she talking about the day she gave her life to god.
I doubt the theory about God...because why would she refer to God as "babe"? Otherwise, though, I see it.
