Baptised with a perfect name
The doubting one by heart
Alone without himself
War between him and the day
Need someone to blame
In the end, little he can do alone
You believe but what you see
You receive but what you give
Reach for the hand held heart through life
For the dancer to arrive
Reach and catch me before I fall
Apart from the wandering pack
In this brief flight of time we reach
For the ones, whoever dare
You believe but what you see
You receive but what you give
Reach for the hand held heart through life
For the dancer to arrive
Reach and catch me before I fall
Reach for a friend whoever cares
For someone whoever dares
Reach to catch me when I fall
Reaching for the doubting one by heart
Hearing voices calling
Catch the one who's falling
Reach for the hand held heart through life
For the dancer to arrive
Reach and catch me before I fall
Reach for a friend whoever cares
For someone whoever dares
Reach to catch me when I fall
The doubting one by heart
Alone without himself
Need someone to blame
In the end, little he can do alone
You receive but what you give
For the dancer to arrive
Reach and catch me before I fall
In this brief flight of time we reach
For the ones, whoever dare
You receive but what you give
For the dancer to arrive
Reach and catch me before I fall
For someone whoever dares
Reach to catch me when I fall
Hearing voices calling
Catch the one who's falling
For the dancer to arrive
Reach and catch me before I fall
For someone whoever dares
Reach to catch me when I fall

This song was written in 2006 by Tuomas Holopainen and was sang by Marco Hietala, the bassist, main vocalist and songwriter for the band Tarot. In February 2007, Nightwish received a very talented NEW singer, by the name of Anette Ozlon, so the song was no longer going to appear on Nightwish's next album, Dark Passion Play. The song did however appear on the Amaranth CD single as well as on the Collector's Edition of Dark Passion Play. A reworking of the song was recorded with Anette by the name of "Amaranth" and put onto the general version of Dark Passion Play. This song is actually quite amazing, as is all of Nightwish's material. I especially like the way the hawk cries along with the scream of "REACH" throughout the song. I actually have five versions of Dark Passion Play; The regular version, The Collector's Edition (As to get this song) the "Orchestral" version that comes along with the Collector's Edition, the Japanese release (As to obtain the song "The Escapist") and the "Instrumental" version that comes with the Japanese release (the tracks are exactly the same as the "Orchestral" version) It's cool to look at in my collection because it is five CD's with the same basic image, though all look noticeably different. I was absolutely shocked that this song wasn't on here, especially when the even more obscure "The Escapist" had lyrics.
@ The-Dullahan-AHHHH......so THAT is where i had seen this song...on the Amaranth CD cuz at first i saw this song title and thought "WHAT???!! i have never heard of this song" then i clicked on it and saw your comment and now i know

Huh? Isn't this Amaranth?...
It's on the Collector's Edition of Dark Passion Play as a bonus track.
I had only bought the collectors edition, so i had no idea amaranth wasn't on the original release. Cool.
